My impression of most Trump voters I meet is that they want him to declare war on half of America and grasp at some “policy” when discussing him with others to avoid saying so. We keep thinking we need to point out this huge “bug” in Trump’s operating software; they see it as a feature. Simple as that.

I'm a blue dot in a red sea, and most Republicans around here are fairly cordial, but there are some REALLY NASTY people who have the biggest chip on their shoulder I've ever seen.
I don't know why, I think because they've bought into the victimhood that Trump carries around with him. You know, the "Christians are the most persecuted people in the US" types.
Christians love to cry about how persecuted they are. A women said to me one time, "I'm not going to apologise for wearing a cross." My thought bubble was "no one gives a sht, at all"
I know. It's a riot. I say Merry Christmas because I like Christmas. If someone said happy Winter Soltice, I'd be just as happy. The stupid things people care about.
Yup, 60% of the white people in America want him to lock up the other 40% (along with non-white Americans). It's strange living your whole life as part of that 40%. (Rough ratios of Republican : Democrat white voters in US over the last 68 years - your state mileage may vary)

External locus of control. They are not happy with their life and have to blame it on someone.
Have you actually experienced the horror of being told, "Happy Holidays." by random workers in a store? I mean, try to empathize!
YES! I had to go sit down. ;D

Horror of horrors, we need to rewrite a Christmas Carol to include that as the Ghost of Christmas Forever.
Dickens was too woke.

"Don't feel like Satan, but I am to them.
So I try to forget it any way I can."
