Perhaps past presidents might want to SAY SOMETHING OR SAY ANYTHING???

They're just like the cowardly generals who refused to speak out. The few that did waited until they retired and published a book. Cowards all!

ThatтАЩs a tough ask. They need some more time to mull things over.

They will when their constituents speak up, which is already happening.

Exactly right. Why the hell doesnтАЩt W say something about Melon Husk killing PEPFAR?!?

As a former GOPer This makes me so infuriated. ЁЯШб thank you to Bill Kristol and the bulwark gang for calling it out!

Because he is a good Republican! Same as all the rest. Would rather die than offend the party.

The party W belonged to is long gone.

Agree. And the one that remains hates him.

Why do you think that them saying anything would mean anything?

Expand full comment

Why not? Republicans need to start speaking up against the Project 2025 implementation. Especially when Trump said he knew тАЬnothing тАЬ about it.

Like anyone with half a brain actually believed that. The only people that believed that were people who planned to vote for Trump ITFP or that needed to not believe it so they could avoid voting for the Woke non-white woman.

Bush speaking out doesn't get you much, both side generally despise him, for different reasons.

And very few non-Democrats care what Clinton or Obama say.

Don't think it will help much and might actually hurt, depending.

Enough people with half a brain elected him. Plus people will forget what a real president represents. Trump is a mediocre real estate agent with zero redeeming qualities.

Thank you, Kathleen. "a ton of misinformation and misunderstanding out there concerning Chief Justice RobertsтАЩs single-justice order last night" - indeed. If all one read is a brief headline, as I did yesterday - Roberts gives Trump his first win - you would think it was a fait accompli. It wasn't. Not yet.
