Funny line from Walz I read today: the reason he looks so old for 60 is the twenty years he did on school lunch room duty. I was a Shapiro fan, but I do think Walz is looking like the better pick, after all. I see Shapiro as Alpha in most every way. He's POTUS level talent, and has those ambitions, clearly. I did keep wondering if VP wingman was really going to sit well with him. Or her, for that matter. . . .

I don't think Shapiro had too much bad baggage, except for the Israel "debate"- whatever that means right now. Two sharp coastal/elite AG's. Maybe too rich for the blood. People are craving a fresh change. Maybe Walz's down to earth, all around good guy is going to feel a lot more comfortable to so many who've felt forgotten for a very long time. Many of them live in his neighborhood.

They had hoped a Strongman could help them. What a disaster that turned out to be. It's hard to see a clearer contrast between Harris/Walz and Camp Trump. On pretty much every level.

Time for some fun, for a change. She's fun. He's fun. Let the games begin! πŸ‘

I will have to take your word for Shapiro as the Alpha. I haven't seen much of the guy before the veepstakes, but what I saw since was kind of unimpressive. Just another politician. I will have to take the word of others who know him better that he is destined for the big prize.

From what I've seen and heard from many sources- including here at the BW, he's a rising star. I do think we're going to see his ambitions soar. He has many detractors, but I get the feeling he's not going to be greatly deterred. Just what I've heard.....

It seems from reporting Shapiro came to that conclusion himself and all but withdrew Sunday night when he called Harris. He has the opportunity to become and even better leader and build capital for a later run at the top job.

Yes, I heard that theory on CNN. And it's very believable. However, we're also hearing that team Trump was also working to sink him with bad oppo dirt, ginning up the lefties on Gaza issues, stirring up the teachers union, etc. Doing all they could to bury him.

I will say I watched the Walz rollout earlier, and it was a tour de force from the K/W campaign. Shapiro gave a barnburner of an intro speech. Kamala's intro of Walz launched him to the moon, and his own speech was just great. So, they've done the best they could with the Shapiro let down, it seems. I do NOT believe this means she doesn't get PA at all. At all. But it had seemed to me this was just not going to work with Shapiro having to play wingman. He'd been asking for more like a two-fer kind of deal. That could not have worked. She has to be the only POTUS in office.

So on it goes. Barnstorming across these United States now underway. ✈️

It probably is a win win for both of them. Josh does the team player role to deliver PA for Harris-Walz this year and then build the capital up for a run in β€˜32.

You couldn't ask for more! I look forward to watching her and Tim win this thing. And I'm especially excited to watch Josh soar, after an excellent governorship, and having helped send PA their way.
