As attractive as he seemed to be Shapiro fails to meet that test on at least three counts, in my opinion. First, a majority of Americans support Palestinian statehood, not just the protesters that get all the attention. Israel's current government does not.
Second, unions were not happy with Shapiro's support of school vouchers.
Third, the sexual harassment settlement for one of Shapiro's staffers raised some eyebrows. Personally, I think there is "no there there" but do you doubt the republicans would not twist what happened into an issue?
Trump's people will try to paint Walz as a communist, but he doesn't sound like one. Most of the liberal policies they will attack are supported by a majority of the American people. The Floyd riots have been litigated already and, in my opinion, will only attract the Maga crowd.
Finally, not only did Walz not advocate defunding the police, he increased their funding.

Summed up my thoughts exactly. Anyone seeing last night's rally can see they make quite the duo and Walz was an excellent choice!
