Bill, thank you for AGAIN pointing out what gutless cowards and I believe literal traitors all those “great men” like Mattis, Kelly, and especially Romney and Bush are. I have nothing but contempt for all of them. History will judge them harshly, and rightly so, no matter what happens next month.

I admire these young women SO much. I am 71 years old and to see these “great men” of my generation cower and equivocate is repulsive and disgusting to me, especially in contrast to these young women, who have been willing to ruin their careers and risk their personal safety to do what is RIGHT. What a novel and shocking ideal in the age of Trump!!! Right or wrong, truth or lies, good or evil. We once believed there actually was a difference.

If our country survives, which I still truly doubt, it will be our women, from VP Harris, to Liz Cheney, to Hutchinson, Matthews, and many, many more just like them who do it. I thank them all, from voters to leaders.

As Liz said, when this “time of testing” came, these young women stood up fearlessly and “met the moment.” Not so for all these “great men” of your party, from McConnell, Graham and all the sycophants to Bush, Pence, et al., who when push came to shove-NOW— valued their own ease over “truth, justice, and the American way.” Being silent in 2024 is acquiescence and complicity is my view.

This is personal with me, and it has shaken my faith in this country and its alleged leaders. So, so many have been morally bankrupt when we needed “their finest hour.”

Shame on them. I have no respect for them today, and never will again.

Maybe we should encourage VP Harris, when she wins, to reverse a threat from, Agent Orange, aka, the Old Convicted Felon, and loose these fearless women on the military, at least on those feckless, not fearless, leaders about whom we have been writing.

Didn't all these fellows take an oath to protect the Constitution of this here country?

Yes, unless you might be made to feel socially awkward, at which point, if you're a man, you're off the hook...

I know MAGA has no shame, but what about these "men of honor"?

Yes. With hand on The Bible and most of them claim to be Christians.

That's what really makes me angry about them. Yes, they did. So does all of Congress, and every single federal employee whether in a political office or the person who fixes the copiers. And they refuse to speak out against a man who has openly said the Constitution can be ignored or shredded.

Maybe they'll speak up when they come for the retired generals.

I guarantee they'll come for serving generals as well. Heck, Trump's idol Hitler did that all the time.
