Dems need to do a full primary like they should have done in '23 but someone didn't understand it was his time to head off into the sunset and enjoy a solid legacy. Instead, we get Trump Part Deaux.

Between Shapiro, Whitmer, Beshear, Moore etc. there's enough good candidates with solid governing experience - something I think will be appreciated after another four years of Trump. If Kamala decides she wants to try again and wins the primary, I'm on board, but I don't think the odds are good that she'd win. I expect the last few months took a toll. She ran a decent campaign. Made some mistakes, but it was a tough spot for her to be put in. As governor of California, she would improve her odds of winning and would be able to set herself with a seat at the table in terms of influence.

In retrospect this is correct however it probably would have made very little difference in the outcome of this election. In every developed country worldwide there were a 110 elections. In every single one of them the voters kicked out the party in power. Didn’t matter if they were left, center, right, ultra right, authoritarian, male, female, old, and young. Inflation is a party killer.
