I honest to God believe that collectively we simply don't appreciate what we have and cannot conceive of what happens if we lose it. Well, we're about to go through some things, and even when Trump cocks it up, I'm not sure a sufficient number of voters are going to punish him for it.

I, too, was quite depressed after the election, but have let it go. My attitude is now “Pass the popcorn, please.“
