Could be. I did go to Germany two years ago. Never used that though. I did once say Ich bin kin deutch.( I don't speak German,{spelling may be off}) I got the impression that I wasn't understood since it was my Mn. accent.
I didn't take German but I learned a few words before I left. But there is no way I could converse. It just seems like they speak to fast, not like us Americans!

My high school German sometimes comes back out of nowhere when I try to speak Spanish! But Iβll never forget βMehr Bier, bitteβ
