i actually thought the opposite to everyone else apparently that the new capt america movie was far better than most of the other marvel movies because it had a dollop of gravitas to it via the racial angle and this was a good thing. and since i was there for fun and not a big think or emotional ride, it was just enough, they salted it just right for french fries. i was not ordering potatoes au gratin. given that -- if instead i found myself in the middle of some "cap american schindler's list" [what critics appear to want] I'd probably have thrown my buttered popcorn at the screen. anyway the whole thing was far more believable in most ways than the rest of marvel's offerings which frankly i don't watch for believability much anyway but can we at least have some? I mean it has to be somewhat tethered to ... reality? somehow. For example the capt america's bad guy's motivations made far more sense than the bald chick in deadpool and wolfie ... And how about the big baddy everyone loves thanos? -- ok thanos was fun but wtf, he couldn't say snap double the resources vs half of population? come on -- he made no sense at all. and sorry but tech suits seem more believable than super vitamins etc... well it's all schlock really in the star wars vein -- so i stand by my opinion. i'm actually looking forward now to the next avengers, some motley crew of B-list super heroes -- sounds fun!
