I actually believed the first 3…it was the Duke breaking news that made me realize how gullible I am…thanks Mr. Kristol…now I have to retract my Cannon announcement to my husband

Greatest news I've heard lately -- it's not April Fools day is it? Did Romney really accept a position in the Biden administration? And did Dark Brandon's (unconfirmed) meeting with Liz Cheney take place I've been waiting for that to happen, especially since reading "Biden Needs the Big Guy!" Please update!

Has there been any confirmation of the Miami Herald report about the draft opinion by Judge Cannon setting a trial date for the Maralago case?

D'oh. I just opened yesterday's issue today and didn't notice the date. It's not nice to fool old men.

I don’t subscribe to this site for jokes

Fuck the date

I agree, 364 days of honest truthful reporting gone in a flash of unconscionable BULL SHIT! You owe us better!!

Um, the Judge Cannon bit was not a good joke, Bill...the fact being that this could potentially be taken as fact. That is something you would see in a Facebook disinformation group...and has The Bulwark become a Facebook disinformation group? You should probably issue a retraction on that particular item as soon as possible before that particular item gets picked up, because everyone here knows that it will be.

Fix it, Bill.

Well, you noticed in my comment that I further said, "Let's see if he does it". If is really was fake,

awful! I have just finished a research paper exactly with Johnson included and his cohort extremist Republicans in the House. Thank you for contacting me.

Best, Angela

I don't think you should do fake news stories anymore. Not even on April 1.

I very much appreciated the April 1st edition, and suspected the April fools news aspect when with the story of polling data change. We already know that our country is in serious trouble, and that millions of Americans won’t suddenly wake up on Easter Sunday and have a change of heart.

I hope that the Americans held in Russian jails and the hostages in Gaza can still have enough hope to smile occasionally. Most of us are in far better places, and I would hope that we don’t get so seriously worried about our situations to not appreciate a little light humor.

I'm trying to figure out if ANY of today's message is real. Or was the whole thing an April Fools gag?

It is so hard to make out these days considering how surreal they are.

In our social media age perhaps it should be called "April Troll's Day."

You NEARLY seduced me - but the Mitt Romney comment did it for me! Nice try lads.

April 1st pranks & jokes are rarely funny, but never from a news source that values its reputation. This is the first time The Bulwark has disappointed me, but it is a major mistake.

As with a number of the commenters below, I was taken in and it didn't dawn on me until after I had told several people the good news....aaaargh
