I live in Texas, in Chip Roy’s district. I’m an ex-Republican. I’m outraged by the one party corrupt control of this state. But more outraged by the people who continually vote to keep these people in power.

Power outages in winter—people die: Cruz goes on vacation.
Uvalde, El Paso massacres. Nothing except more outrageous loosening of gun safety laws. Rogue judges who exert their extreme views and lock up the US judicial system.
We have poor mental health care, schools struggle.
I used to be proud to be a Texan. Now just sad and angry.
A fifth-generation Texan living in the Philly area, I've said this here before: Texas just keeps breaking my heart and making my head explode. My three adult children have wonderful childhood memories of summers in the Texas hill country, but now they don't really want to go down there to visit family. My eldest gender-queer offspring in particular is very comfortable with it, hasn't even come out to the rest of my family.
Carolyn, if you click the 3 dots bottom right of your post, you will see an “edit” option that allows you to do things like go back and correct spelling, etc.
But you’re right that I knew what you meant. My brain even filled it in to “uncomfortable”. Didn’t notice the misspelling until you pointed it out. My eldest daughter lives in McKinney, Texas. She’s a Democrat married to a born and raised Texan, also a Democrat, bit he is apparently an aberration in his family. Her brother, my gay son, would feel VERY uncomfortable living in Texas, except maybe Austin, but it’s too expensive.
Me too, Laura. I'm 76 years old and have lived here over sixty years. In 2022 over six million registered voters in Texas stayed home. Some of them actually said "they (the candidates) are all the same". This latest outrage really depressed me. Abbott even gave Perry his "gun rights" back.
“The candidates are all the same.” That’s what some people want you to think so you won’t go out and vote. Your potential vote might be against their preferred candidate. Treasure your right to vote by using it wisely, after careful thought.

Think how bad they would be if they were not the party of life.

UNcomfortable. But y'all knew what I meant.

Thank you, Ann!
A very sad position 😢

If only those people believed that. They don't.
