The "establishment" better stand up for the Constitution...not the Felon. Otherwise, they will become irrelevant.

Joe and Mika is just another step in of the progression of the “mainstream media’s “ march to become state echo chambers.

Trump doesn’t care about Pete… he is sure he can pick a worse person with no experience, competence or ethics. Hummm who could it be? Maybe the Fascist Governor of Florida?

For all his faults, at least DeSantis has run the government of a big state with some administrative success. That alone raises his experience and competence scores to a smaller negative number than Hegseth's, although it doesn't win him any ethics points.

I have to say that this turning on Joe and Mika thing is very MAGA-like. Like the MAGAs....people are picking a single fact or two, making HUGE assumptions about it and ignoring the lack of logic behind it.

I liken this to FoxNews showing the video of a cop waving people into the Capitol on 1/6 and it being portrayed as them welcoming in the attackers.

So...do you really think that Joe and Mika, upon seeing Trump win the election, sat down out of fear, and determined that they needed to get a meeting with Trump in order to save themselves from his wrath? After 8 years of criticizing Trump endlessly...do you really believe that all went away because they feared for their jobs/lives? Do you really think that after seeing Trump lie for 8 years and being one of the most untrustworthy people in the world, that they would believe him if he indicated that they would be "ok" if they never criticized him again?

Mika's dad was a international negotiator who dealt with undesirables around the world all of the time even though it was awful to have to meet with these cretons and treat them like rational actors and people....it had to be done.

No....Joe and Mika don't work for the State Department, but they did have a personal relationship with Trump. They chose to use it and I'm assuming they went to him and say that if he tries to target his political opponents that it will lead this country into one of the most violent and disastrous eras since the civil war and it will be his legacy.

Why the hell would they make this public if it were done to benefit themselves? They would keep that hidden.

In my 30 years of being in the military...I got a pretty good BS detector....and it constantly goes off when Trump or MAGA's talk but not Joe and Mika. They deserve FAR better than this. This circular firing squad stuff is awful...save your ammo for the real enemy.

Cowardice is the LEAST unfavorable interpretation that can be placed on the way that they and their producers turned on David Frum. That wasn't six-dimensional Chess or high diplomacy, it was panic.

I lost the Internet for a week, so I was forced to see MSNBC. Joe and Mika are on when I'm still sleeping on the West Coast, so I didn't see them. But every other show on MSNBC was filled with criticism of every single one of the Orange Snake's picks for his administration. As far as I can see, that channel is the only one talking about how dangerous the Snake's picks are for the country. They even have Tim and Charlie (among others) on daily on one show or another. People should be watching MSNBC instead of dinging it to death. And stopping Musk from buying the only channel that's on our side.

Mebbeh. Dunno.

There is some reporting out there that Joe in particular is genuinely rattled. That's not assumption, supposition, or jumping to conclusions--people close to the man believe he is *scared*, both for himself and for his family.

He has reason to be. He knows Trump well, and his vengeful gangster nature. Moreover, as a former congressman, he knows the government well, and what grievous damage it can do to people in the wrong hands--particularly with those, like himself, with lots and lots to lose.

As such, I would say what all of us are trying to do is not so much *shun* or cancel Mr. and Mrs. Morning Joe per se, but implore them to dig deep and find their inner cojones. It will be quite easy for them to chop said cojones off, like so many have done in this sad era, and flatter and appease the incoming dictator. The mere act of them coming to Mar-a-Lago and "negotiating" with Donald is almost certainly seen by the *latter* as weakness and surrender.

And yeah, Joe probably doesn't see it that way. I'm sure most of the MAGA-ified Republican party doesn't see their cravenness any differently. But, alas.

"I'M NOT AFRAID, I'M JUST CAREFUL", Scarborough's whiny little rant this morning sounds like to me.

Really. Is there anyone out there in the realms of power and influence who values their own manhood? In the old-fashioned sense?

Olivia Troye and Liz Cheney have more cojones than Joe and his bosses at NBC any day of the week. And it's not like they have money and security resources to spare--unlike certain cowards hiding in their studios in New York.

Morning Joe and Mika credibility is self destructing like Steve Austin breaking up, and Truth Social technology is not going to save them from such flagrant hypocrisy. If their new gig is to mimic Fox & Friends, they should apply for jobs with Rupert and free up the space for more objective hosts. We can get Fox on Fox. And yes, MSNBC on the whole might benefit from more objective balance, but this 180 is pure orange ass kissing (I assume he spray tans his ass also, but don’t even ask why I would think about such an ugly thing).

Forget Joe and Mika - every other anchor on every other show after them is consistently anti-MAGA and anti-Orange Snake. No one but no one is on the Snake's side. How about watching the OTHER shows after Joe and Mika?

Such a sordid, albeit entertaining spectacle to witness the sycophants in waiting scurry about denying everything and attempt to curry "cabinet" favor. It's the ultimate version of "The Apprentice" DJT always hoped for. The contestants may 'get it' after he has kicked them to the curb but probably not.

I stopped watching "Morning Joe" back in 2015/2016 when they allowed Trump free access to their morning program whenever he wanted to call in--- they, of course thought it was all a big joke, but Trump is the one who walked away laughing. Any publicity is good publicity.

Subsequently I have stopped watching MSNBC entirely since long before the election. Their wall to wall coverage of Trump has not been helpful except as a gage of how much "the libs" have been triggered in every news cycle. I know they were just giving their audience what they wanted but isn't that the FOXNews business model, too?

I am confident that Trump may decide to go with Desantis at the DoD especially if he gets Lara Trump chosen for the Senate in the deal. As long as it is clear Trump is making the "strong decision" and Hegseth walks away quietly (to some other probable sinecure in the administration as Gaetz will do) and no Republican has to go out on a limb to end the nomination. Unity of the party is really very important to Trump this time. Publicly he wants to be seen as presiding over a well oiled machine. Even the famously fractious Republican caucus in the House of Representatives will become obedient to the voice of their master.

In the final analysis Trump cares about Hegseth in the same way he cares about anyone else. He doesn't except where there is something to be gained for Trump. It is even possible that some of these nominations were intended to dominate the news cycle for a few days and then forgotten about.

We will know that Trump is having problems when he starts declaring "I hardly know him" or "I wouldn't recognize him if he walked in a room" or "He's not my type."

I don't need the "FOXNews for Vegans" (I know that is an awful stereotypes and I am just being sarcastic) but seriously I no longer need the adrenaline pump that their business model demands.

I do miss Ari and his nerdy white boy hip hop references and Nicole Wallace one of the most pleasant people in the news world. But I find reading local and national newspapers all I need to keep abreast of "the dirty deeds done dirt cheap" and the commercial interruptions.

You should watch it. It's the only channel openly challenging every pick the Orange Snake has made. Morning Joe isn't the entire network.

I found today's Morning Shots headline confusing. "Does Trump Even Care about Pete?" I think it's been well established that Trump doesn't care about anyone other then himself. Even suggesting that Trump could care for anyone gives him too much credit.

That was a funny comment about Fox! lol Sad;y, Mika, Joe and so many others prefer their mulyi-million paychecks to democracy, the rule of law or the Constitution. Mika and Joe are especially embarrassing.

I think trump put up his clown car of nominees to appease maga cultists, and really doesn't give a damn if any of them are approved since he likely has worse ones in the pipeline. The drunk makes DeSantis look almost saint-like in comparison. He might give Ru Paul a run for his money stylistically with those high heels, but Ron isn't drunk on bourbon everyday, simply drunk on power.

Toolsi will see a similar fate with someone who has less of a putin, assad fetish. The new nominee will still be horrible but more like Jeffrey Dahmer than Jeffrey Epstein.

trump is an old man who doesn't have the same desires as he once did. As long as his orange ass remains out of jail, he will be content to ride the golf cart, drink diet cokes, and slam Big Macs. He might be able to ramble about Dr Hannibal Lecter for hours on end, but he doesn't have the ability or wherewithal to give a damn about anything as long as the stock market keeps climbing due to Biden policies. If South Korea's action against its clownish dictator wannabee is a prologue, trump may not want to go full dictator. At least I hope that is the case. A person can dream...

I support DeSanti’s wearing booster boots to affirm his gender identity, but his Florida Guard militia (different than the national guard) is a bad sign if you're against the clown dictator using the military as a police force. Putin/Xi want to change the focus of the American military from supporting allies to a focus on the enemy from within. Putin/Xi have compromising information on the clown dictator and billionaires that bought the election as evidenced by the obvious “national security risk” cabinet picks. Confused people think this is funny. They believe the clown dictator, billionaires and Maga politicians who are controlled by foreign enemies that want to destroy America and traumatize Americans
