Even if Trump has disavowed Project 2025, it's so telling about his willful ignorance of policy-making that he has only done so long after its publication at the Heritage Foundation website. [ah, snap!!] The same goes for SCOTUS' reversal of Roe v.s Wade, and MAGA's intentions to further restrict access to abortion in even more draconian ways by attempting a federal ban. Republican state laws will not be any less severe.

His glaring blindness to these megalomaniacal policy strategies should alone be enough to make anyone disavow him, but of course that could only happen with a sane base of non-cult supporters.

Michele, he is NOT IN IGNORANCE of any of the points you raise. If re-elected EVERY item will resurface and be used as a cruel brutal bludgeon against America.

I think it’s both. Probably the main points by oral explanation but certainly not the lesser. The man doesn’t read and plays ignorant when it’s to his advantage. That’s the reason I used the term *willful* ignorance.

I'm always curious about ad campaign strategy and why ad buyers just give up on entire states (like Florida.) Why not spend $10 million on the Golf Channel alone? Think of all the golf brahs you'd aggravate. You might even win some of them over, and put a dent in that demo. Yet they never do.

I really hope the Harris team keeps doing this, the campaign can certainly afford it. Inundate him with Dem ads and outspend the GOP so he goes even more insane.

This is such a smart strategy, and it seems to be working. I am loving how angry Trump is now that he doesn’t have Joe Biden to pick on any more. He and his crew are out of ideas.

I have wished for a long time that Dems would take off the gloves. Why do we tiptoe around these people?

Not surprisingly, Trump continues to be a disgusting human being as he tweets and retweets Who could possibly support him to be the President of the United States? For the next 67 days, I'm referring to Trump as "The Pervert". I encourage everyone to do the same. What an abomination.

"Trump once supported the [Project 2025], but he has come to disavow it as Democrats highlighted unpopular measures and tied them to Trump’s team."

Key word "disavow." What he did NOT say is that he would actively oppose it if elected. Which itself could be yet another one his many lies that his base will uncritically eat up. But he could also actively oppose it NOW. That he has not is reason #666 to vote straight blue in November.

"He’s a little on edge these days and it just makes sense for staff to have a little something on air so he’s not wondering why he’s not seeing his stuff on TV,”

Is Trump truly so stupid that he won't understand that ads run if he doesn't see them on his own TV? This is definitely not the guy I want negotiating with foreign leaders.

Bwa-Ha-Ha (evil Bond villain laugh)

I would love an America in which all political ads were factual, truthful, and dealt with relevant issues. It is regrettable that politicians of both parties have sunk to the lowest common denominator in their ads. Some of this stuff is so "low" that even all of the "Real Housewives" would be embarrassed by it.

Alas, we're quite a ways away from that type of reality. The truth is that down-and-dirty political ads have been a constant in the process since at least the "Daisy" ad that LBJ ran.

A very small smidgen of me is disappointed that the Harris/Walz team opted to go this low. But when you're running against an unbalanced candidate that thrives on chaos and attention, there is no choice but to match fire with fire. Raise the shields, ready the photon torpedos and the phaser banks. Let's kick some ass.

I would also expect that the Harris/Walz ads will be much better and much more effective due the (probable) age and talent of the staff producing them. I'm sure that Donnie Dementia has a few staff members on his team that have comparable abilities, but their creative momentum is impacted by the fact that they need to leave mom's basement anytime they want to eat or use the bathroom.

Well, not ALL their adds are trolling. I get my news from PBS, so I don’t pick up on many, but I like the perfectly straightforward one on housing. If it were online it could perhaps link to the two bills against price gouging which didn’t make it through congress and the lawsuit which is still (as far as I am aware) making its way through the courts. A Supreme Court judgement call, on what constitutes monopoly. For Google too in the last analysis as well, I suppose.

Just followed the BBC link to the piece about P2025 and was struck by its summary of the key aims of the plan: 1) restore the family as the centrepiece of American life; 2) dismantle the administrative state; 3) defend the nation's sovereignty and borders; and 4) secure God-given individual rights to live freely.

My first thought was that 1) and 4) are contradictory. But now (card-carrying center-left Dem here) I think 1), 2), and 4) are a jumbled up contradictory mess.

Well, it depends on whether or not the family is defined inclusively. But defending the nation’s sovereignty and dismantling the administrative state are a simple minded oxymoron. Plus I WANT the federal dept of education, although possibly not to cook up standardized grade school testing, but definitely to dispense college grants and loans.

Oh come now, Campaign du LDFF…we all know your slavering chops are all over P-2025. You probably have it read to you every night after a couple of B-Macs and a few basket of fries by your AI nanny who you watch on your phone, cuddling you and rocking you to sleep.

I became aware of P-25 in November of ‘23 when Big Grift Energy Senator Rick Scott announced in all his brilliance Project 2025’s successful completion. It was the MAGA playbook for when Trump takes back the White House.

Oh! it is glorious! Owning the libs in every way possible. Now that the womenfolk are back in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant, just wait until they aren’t allowed to speak unless spoken to. The nonsense that they are smarter than men is on the chopping block what with the partisan SCOTUS poised to take the vote away from everyone but a handful of old, white racists has us peeing the bed every night we’re so jacked!

How can we lose?! MSM has Biden dead and buried a year ago, he’s got nothing up his sleeve… he’s too feeble minded and brilliantly diabolical at the same time!

We’ve got Screechy McShortsleeves and Little Jimmy chasing their tails looking for impeachable offenses while wasting millions of tax dollars on the Biden Crime Empire. Reminder of the insurance company commercial where the $ is at the end of a fishing pole…

”Almost had it there, didn’t ya..?” They slink off, quietly ending the investigation.

But wait! what’s this? Biden quit? He can’t do that! I never agreed to run against Kamala Harris! She’s too young and talks like she graduated from college! She hasn’t played a single game of golf since she stole the election in 2020! Zero experience!

The LP’s ad campaign during the 2020 election cycle was extraordinarily effective in micro-targeting voters with high quality ads on a relatively shoe-string budget. They ABSOLUTELY got into Trump’s head and continue to do so in 2024. They made a HUGE difference in an election that was decided on the barest of margins by 40K votes out of nearly 155M cast. Why would we NOT be 1000% behind the Harris people doing the same type of thing???

"What the campaign does proudly admit, is that it’s waging psychological warfare on Trump."

IMO, it doesn't really take that much to accomplish a successful campaign within Trump's [sic] head where VP Harris is living rent-free. He has a very thin (orange) skin, so getting under it is readily done [sorry for mixing metaphors]. To get the proverbial ball rolling needs just questioning any one of his grandiose claims. In many ways it's like today's modern American armed forces facing off against the Redcoats with TFG playing the part of the Redcoats -- given how much he seems to like dwelling in the past.

-----

"The Harris campaign is spending no other ad money in Florida—a sign that they still see the state as out of reach."

Given the way it is currently in FL, the Harris campaign doesn't have to spend to put the state back into play. S FL has a first-hand view of Trump [sic] showing signs of increasing dementia; the rest of the state is seeing it like the rest of the country -- via the MSM. Add to the mix, that very fine person: Gov DeSantis, and his losing wars against civility, education, immigrants (except the Cubans who tend to lean conservative having fled Communism), minorities, the LGBTQIA+ community, Disney (Fl's largest single-site employer:

"Disney is one of the largest employers in Florida, directly and indirectly accounting for more than a quarter of a million jobs as a result of its presence in Florida with approximately 80,000 cast members wearing the iconic Walt Disney World name tag. One in every 32 Florida jobs can be attributed to Disney. Without Disney, Florida’s unemployment rate would jump from the 21st lowest to the second highest among all 50 states." https://disneyconnect.com/disneyworld/about/).... Then there are the insurance companies fleeing the state, and the residents of FL have to place the blame somewhere -- which tends to be, historically, the current state administration. All in all, the RINOs are losing the PR war.

"conservative Project 2025 plans for a new Trump term. Trump once supported the project, but he has come to disavow it"

Po-TAY-to, Po-TAH-to, it's all semantics. He disavowed Project 2025 in favor of Agenda47 -- which basically is Project 2025 with slightly different phraseology.

Trump and DeSantis should both lose Florida. That is a state that is the living embodiment of Project 2025, with DeSantis trying to win kudos with the Heritage Foundation crowd for being evil and running the state like a third world dictator. With Donnie back in the White House they will just get more of that, like no more public schools, and no more social security (those old fools who vote for Trump can only be excused if they have dementia), and hellish family situations with woman and children as unpaid workers, and men ruling, abuse going up, child welfare going down, and mother nature raging against the climate denying policies that will see more and more people homeless.

They do say that ever since DeSantis ushered in the really harsh rules regulating farm workers and builders Florida has had a labor shortage, Georgia being preferable.

Of course. These idiots are in racist, hateful denial about how much they need immigrants to keep their economies going. I personally think Florida should be put into receivership given that it grows a lot of foods for the US.
