Mona Charen is delusional. Paxton's impeachment is about infighting. A normal party would have given the bum's rush years ago. As for the debt ceiling, we're seeing the fallout now: The so-called Freedom Caucus torpedos its own bill in a fit of pique. That's inching *toward* normality? Seriously?

As a Colorado Republican who's voted for obscure presidential candidates to avoid voting for Trump (won't vote for progressives period.), I found Christie's announcement inspiring. The only people who "know" he can't win, are you political wonks. So maybe you can just leave the negativity out of your analysis and pour a little gas on Chris Christie's fire. The up side is all good for the country and what could it hurt to tone down the "He can't win analysis "?

Though people no doubt will gladly allow Christie take a few swings at trump and hope a couple land; in the end if his campaign's intent is nothing more than to take out trump, he can do that without running for POTUS. Did he say anything yesterday about what policies he supports or even what he favors?

The GOP isn't a serious party and no one who either currently hold elective office or running for office are at a min a clown show and at a max a sh it show.

How will Trump meet his political end? Let me count the ways.... It's like Charlie Brown and the football. Now it'll be Chris Christie's forked tongue that will finally put Trump out of the picture. As my mother would have said, "From your mouth to God's ears." On the other hand.... if it looks like Christie's approach has any legs at all, shows even a slight blip in the polls, you can be damned sure that all the other lemming candidates will start to inch over there. And just maybe, bit-by-bit... Oh hell, Lucy just pulled the ball again.

Just listened to the podcast with A.B. Stoddard - would it kill you two to actually concede that Bernie and AOC just might be right about the billionaire thing?

People keep thinking that the GoP is going to somehow magically return to "normal." I keep seeing these articles and whatnot that jump on this possible return to normalcy every time the GoP does something that is not absolutely shitty.

1) We keep seeing these pump fakes from the GoP, but they never seem to actually be anything but a pump fake;

2) The GoP will not and cannot return to normal until they get rid of Trump and all the assorted baggage him laid on them;

When are some people going to figure this out?

"It’s too soon to breathe easy, writes Mona Charen, but something is stirring."

Man, the never-Trumpers are like battered wives. "I'm sure he is turning over a new leaf this time. Maybe I can go back." Years of programming is just hard to undo I guess.

Come on, Mona, the Rs are tip-toeing toward normality?! I realize this has been difficult for you lifelong Republicans, watching the party sink into madness, puerility, and bigotry, but the party is full of rot. It is unsalvageable.

In regards to the Ukrainian dam I think there is a third possibility. That is since it may date back to the

Soviet era, it may have just simply collapse because of shoddy construction as well as poor, or neglected maintenance. From what I've read, it doesn't seem to help either side to destroy the dam and I haven't read, seen, or heard reports of explosions being witnessed, but I could be wrong.

I’m hoping the loud and rude brawler from NJ will absolutely kick the shit out of the loud and rude wimp from Queens. Somebody needs to finally back up the truckload of shit that is DJT and dump the manure pile on the audience. Will it work? Maybe? Any port in a shitstorm.

The PGA “leadership” is disgusting and should be pilloried in every way possible.

I don't think Christie will be rewarded for attacking Trump. But he may be able to drive Republican voters to vote for one of the "Trump Lite" candidates by focusing the spotlight on Trump's baggage.

Whether that will be enough to deny Trump the nomination is hard to tell.

Gee...are all our sports now low hanging fruit for the Saudis? What's next on their

Golf a "sport"? More like billiards, minus 98 percent of the physics. Played out on the big lawn, accessable only to the well-heeled and socially elite, needing membership and approval by a cabal of caste minded old, old money crones, smug in their social superiority. Oh, plus a couple of grand demanded up front for membership, a double catch measure lest any poor person is wily enough to sneak through. Find me a pro golfer that was not spawned from a Country Club.
