Your team has made me realize that in our modern, more complicated age, movie reviews have to be revised. In the past, I think critics assumed they were advising their audiences about whether movies should be seen _in a theater_. Now, more information is required. In addition to whether the movie is recommended, we have to include venue for viewing it. From your pod, one might suggest a movie should be consumed while "scrolling your phone," "folding laundry" or "sleeping on your dog," for example.

I totally lost it when Sonny said, “WHAAAT?!” re Peter’s habitual watching of Godzilla vs Kong” in the background. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You are my spirit animal! I also love putting on a movie that I've seen multiple times and just fall asleep watching it.

I am also very disappointed that they cancelled Batgirl and Coyote vs Acme!

Seeing Godzilla x Kong with my nearly 6 year-old son is in my top five cinematic experiences. My dude was pumping his fist in the air every time Godzilla or Kong were fighting and/or when a classic rock song was playing.

Oh, and we both were cackling in good fun when Suko was used like “Michelangelo’s weapons” as my son puts it.

Great podcast. Regarding big tech vs movie studios I think most of us think of content as nothing more than a hobby for big tech companies. For movie studios the stakes are so much higher, and there are people like David Zaslov attached to those decisions who are fun to ridicule. No one knows or cares who the person is who green-lights or kills a movie on Prime Video. So, I agree with the "art vs widgets" point.

On Godzilla x King Kong, please delve more into that category of movies that are nap-ready. I related so much to Resident Evil (yes) and Underworld (yes.) But also LOTR movies, Blade movies, and anything staring Vin Diesel. All primo nap material. My only objection involves your confounding assertion that the Arnold Schwarzenegger Total Recall is somehow better than the FAR superior Colin Farrell version. Balderdash!

My teenage daughter thought it was fun dumb. She loves anything Godzilla and drags the whole family along with her. It's hard to get the two teenagers together to do stuff as a family so if it's Godzilla then so be it. 😀
