It's ironic that the most powerful people (financially) are the one's most afraid of Trump because they have so much to lose if he turns the power of the government on them. I guess it's up to us little people to push back and show courage.

Hasn't that pretty much always been the way? So disgusted with our Democrat leadership except AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Jasmine Crockett, and Bernie Sanders. Now if we could get a couple hundred more like them in the House and Senate.
Bernie Sanders is not a Democrat. Every 4 years, he shows up to mooch off the Democratic party infrastructure, performs his cosplay of a candidate running for president, loses the nomination, then slides back to Vermont, so sure of himself that being right is more important than winning elections. He's been "right" for almost 20 years.
For the record, I have a lot of affinity for left wing progressive ideas. But those political ideas are currently toxic to the American public, and the Democrats got killed in the last election for some of them. For example, the perilous problem of "trans illegal immigrant criminals getting taxpayer funded sex change operations". Yes, completely unfair, but it worked.
Maybe the American voters can be persuaded eventually to support progressive policies. But that's a multi-decade, probably multi-generational, effort. Until Bernie and his types can show that they can help Democrats win elections across the entire country on a progressive platform, they have little credibility.
The current Democratic leadership are not effective right now. But there is basically nothing they can do. The American people don't care. They won't care until their own faces get eaten off by the leopards. They are perfectly happy to see other people's faces get eaten.
