I know the RWNJs are pretty stupid, but they really don't know that Pelosi is still an elected member of the House, even if she's not Speaker?

People who left twitter are not coming back. Once you leave a product you are unlikely to return. Its like this. I was raised with Fruit of the Loom underwear. But as I got older and age caught up with me I found that their product not all that comfortable. All of a sudden Hanes came out with men's underwear that was comfortable for older folks and I switched. I know that F-O_L has similar products now but they lost me as a customer

I left twitter. Hopefully people I follow will all go somewhere else. Mastodon seems ok, but a little learning curve.

The day Twitter dies will mark the beginning of the salvation of democracy in the USA.

Also, reports of it being really difficult to create a Mastodon account were exaggerated, in my opinion. I'm not a techno wizard by any means, and I set one up very easily. And, Charlie, Tim, and Mona have accounts there already. 🙂

My laugh of the day from the NYT: "Mr. Musk emailed Twitter employees this morning with a plea: “Anyone who actually writes software, please report to the 10th floor at 2 p.m. today,” he wrote in a two-paragraph message, which was viewed by The New York Times. “Thanks, Elon.”"

I read the D'Souza tweet and think to myself 'what pathway led him to this point'? What must his internal mental experience be like such that he says "Aha! That's the perfect thing to send out for all the world to hear!"

I’m continually surprised that Bulwark! podcasts and analysis considers that the Dobbs decision was just about abortion. Focusing on abortion is limiting your analysis to the ”trees”. The “forest” made clear with Dobbs is open season on women. Abortion is just the first salvo. Restricting abortion, ignoring the need for early childcare, and eventual attempting to control access to birth control are the first steps in limiting the ability for women to be employed and to seek equal pay.

The other day I predicted the GOP takeover of the House would be a "Clusterf**k inside a dumpster fire answered by a Chinese fire drill". I yield to Rick Wilson's awe-inspiring superiority in creative imagery and mastery of language.

"Send in the clowns...Don't bother, they're here."

Does anyone else think it was much easier when we could 'Like' a comment from the email without going through the extra step of going to the comments?

A bit off topic, but per the NYT: "Attorney General Merrick Garland will name a special counsel to take over two major criminal investigations involving Donald Trump." IMPEACH Garland from Greene and the other idiots.

First they all say it's a partisan witch hunt, then when a special counsel is appointed, they want to impeach him! Par for what's to become the "new normal" for the GOP. Any different from the "old normal"?

DOJ just named special prosecutor(s) in the Documents and Jan 6 investigations. I have no further details yet.

I have a feeling Charlie. That I am going to start playing the word recrudescence out. I also have a feeling that somebody along the way is going to tell me that, "that's not a word".

Seeing that Trump and Nunes were able to create Truth Social, which appears to be technically similar to Twitter, without patent problems, why can't disgruntled Twitter resignees do the same?

I see no comments on Kari Lake’s refusal to concede. But I guess it was so expected that there was no point. I guess we’ve become so accustomed to the vial behavior of the GOP crazies we are numb. As a former R I just can’t believe how those I used to respect I now loathe. I guess I’ve changed not them.
