I desperately believe that Trump will not leave office until Vance stabs him in the back. I understand very strongly what a danger he poses. In fact I'm planning on writing a book titled "How the Democrats helped the NAZIs Take America." (joke)

Of course I will vote against Trump. I'd vote for the Easter Bunny if he was running as a Democrat against Trump. It's just that if the Democrats didn't ask Biden not to run, the media wouldn't have picked it up and ran with it.
All I'm saying is if the Ds had as much loyalty to Biden as the R's have for demented Trump, Biden would win. The stupidity of pushing a popular candidate out 6 mo before the election is asinine.
Unfortunately your last sentence contains an incorrect premise. Biden is admired for his selflessness and accomplishments, but he is not popular with voters this year. He has trailed consistently in the polls since TFG declared his candidacy.
Sarah's focus groups have said for years that Biden is simply too old to support. And voters who aren't in a cult aren't going to support someone they see objectively.
And they dont think Trump's too old? You know why because Trump kept pushing Biden's too old. I have my doubts about Sarah's focus groups, but they are not anyone I know. And just because they thinks he's old won't persuade them to vote for Trump an old convicted felon, unless they already want Trump and just lie to the focus group moderator. I was sales and marketing and people lie all the time.
Trump's people stand behind him 100%. 6 Republican law makers including the Speaker sat behind Trump while was convicted of 34 felonies. Not one Republucan said he ought to drop out of the race. NOT ONE. Where as the Dems piled on Biden. If his own party isn't loyal why should voters be?
Bullies value loyalty over competence. Trump is a bully and his supporters fall in line. Biden is not a bully and we wouldn’t be facing another Trump disaster if Republicans had acted more like Democrats. I don’t hold Republicans up as the model to embrace.
Yes, but guess what, bullies often win. If Biden wanted to be selfless, he should have said last year that he wasn't running for a second term. Then the Democrats could have nominated a successful and qualified governor like Whitmore, Basheer or Shapiro. All of whom have Executive experience and are well known. They would have had time to build a war chest and a campaign structure. Since he waited to the last minute, only Harris has access to his campaign staff and money.
I understand your perspective to an extent, but I think, that Biden did do the right thing here. Yes, I am sure he felt pressure, but in my opinion, much of that pressure was justified. I like and admire President Biden, but his age is an issue and has been for a long time. It's the main issue and it became the overwhelming issue being, fairly or not, only applied to Biden and not Trump. Sure, the media has made lots of weird missteps and often applies double standards. Sure, the Democrats and the party can be disorganized and, frankly, sometimes, bad, but here the Democrats can use this moment to rally behind Biden is a different way-- he is not a god or a 'man of destiny'. ( that's some scary shit, there). No, he is just a man who rose to the occasion (several times) unlike ALL the leaders in the Republican party. The Democrats are not a cult of personality in the thrall of a dangerous demagogue. I think that's a good thing. Now, let's do this thing.

He could have held on until he won, then 6 months resign.
Very well said!
