Great pod. Tim you have been killing it on this podcast. Next level is still my fav but I’m loving what you have done with the pod. It’s thoughtful, interesting conversations and fun.
Couple of thoughts:
1. Why senate dems polling better than Biden. Could this be just name of between incumbent senators and challengers that don’t have a high name id?
2. Kamala being a prosecutor against Trump: I think this would be AWESOME for me but AWFUL for swing voters in the 5 states that matter.
3. The surrogates: don’t get me wrong I want to see it more but honestly I don’t think it will make much of a difference. I mean trumps entire cabinet has said he was unfit. His Vp has said he doesn’t support him and it has made almost zero difference (if any at all). Shoot I think it was covered for like 3 hours. Chris C will make absolutely no difference, imo.
Biden should use Project 2025 as his gameplan tonight. Make Trump defend it point by point. Keep coming back to it again and again. I doubt Trump even knows half of it. Control the debate. Make sure that Project 2025 is what people are talking about tomorrow.
For the knockout punch, point out that Gain of Function funding to Wuhan was restarted months into his administration. Let him explain that. Make him own Fauci. TKO.
I will throw this in here, but perhaps it is more relevant to yesterday's pod. Anyway for ages every time I hear the discussion of the endorsements, not-quite endorsement and so on, I keep thinking Tim needs to play PJ O'Rourke's May 2016 endorsement of Hillary on NPR.
Firstly many may miss his voice and he got this one right nice and early, but more importantly that there is a whole load of room for these guys to endorse Biden without quite signing on to federally mandated bedtime or whatever they may legitimately dislike in the Democratic platform.
