There is something about the perception of weakness with admitting mistakes, apologizing, and liking any activity that may be viewed culturally as not particularly masculine. It is pretty laughable.
These same dudes not uncommonly have terrible relationships with their children and have fragile egos.
I always thought the whole “libz getting triggered” stuff was funny because this cohort—Divorced Dad MAGA Energy bros—are the most easily triggered, hostile group out there.
OMG, I'm so glad I'm not a resident or medical student anymore so I have to stand there and figure out what face to make as some jerk attending tells me his wife is "out there spending all my money" while he's rounding in the hospital (seriously, why would anyone think that was an appropriate conversation to have with a young, female subordinate anyway? How the fudge did they expect me to react? This happened repeatedly to me!)
These guys did zero housework, zero childcare, zero cooking, and would complain about the money their wife spent on extracurriculars for their kids (to get the kids into the "right" college). The "divorced dad energy" starts well before the divorce. It is the harbinger of divorce.
My youngest is a Joe Rogan fanboy and the only reason he’s not divorced is because he hasn’t gotten married yet. I’ve told him he shouldn’t make one woman miserable when he can make all women happy by not marrying any of them.
My wife of 24 years, who was divorced years ago and long before we met, is laughing her ass off at this!! And she really needed something to laugh about today, so thanks for that.

Last sentence - excellent point.
You're absolutely right about careers where no one can admit a mistake. Pilots, engineers, and surgeons are the worst I've come across.
Anecdotally, they seem to be the Joe Rogan bros.
That may explain why they’re more likely to identify as Democrat than married men but support Trump at a higher rate.

Sorry for the typo, I didn’t proofread.
My youngest is 35 and never married. Though not quite a Joe Rogan type, I wonder the same thing. Just leave well enough alone.
OMG! You’re a good brother! Offering that sincerely sound advice is a public service!
I’m his mom.
😂❤️
And the Barstool Sports bros.

I mean, look at this!
