THE MAN WAS PUSHING THAT COMIC BOOK BS AFTER THE 90’S BUBBLE BURST!?

Sorry for shouting, but even as a 10 year-old I knew this was bunk. That being said, do you still have Hasset’s contact information? I have four issues of Sabertooth number 1 to offload.

It is only as valuable as the price someone would pay. Comic books are not on my investment list. The "market" is risky enough especially in these times.

I bet he has an amazing NFT collection

I am surprised that he didn't also glom on to the Beanie Baby mania.

Who said he didn't?🤣😍🙃

I mean, we don't know what the inside of his garage or attic look like ;)

I'm imagining a shrine to Ayn Rand surrounded by comic books and beanie babies.

Alas, I am not sure there was as much mania about them, other than there was a shortage when they were the "must have" toy one year for Christmas.

There were couples who argued in court during divorce proceedings in the 1990's about how to divide up their "portfolio" of Beanie Babies. Absolutely nutzo.

Like many odds and ends, if you’re lucky enough to still have one of the right beanies in excellent condition - you can maybe sell it for enough to take your partner to a few nice steakhouse dinners. Far from a wise investment strategy, but just as with antique furniture you can be lucky enough to make a few dollars here and there.

Indeed, but it is mostly "luck" not an investment strategy!

I have a box full of coins (mostly Morgan silver dollars, but a few gold coins) that is worth a bit, but mostly the value tracks the bullion value of the base metal

Right?
