Not feedback exactly but I've been wanting a way to tell Sarah that I'm finally watching A French Village because of her and oh! my! god! Everything you ever need to know about people, then and now, playing out.
Unfortunately my Prime subscription ends in a week (not renewing, F you Bezos) so whatever I can binge watch between now and then is what I'll get. Hoping to finish the first season.
Also Sarah, you have really become an incredible force. At the DealBook Summit you were magnificent!!! I replay that video about once a week.
My comment/request: Would The Bulwark consider producing an occasional "What can we (regular folk) do about it?" article and/or podcast episode? You know: Simple actions individuals can take to push back. Organizations we might consider supporting (financially) that are reputable and doing important work to meet the moment. Where to write letters when your representatives are mostly Democrats. That sort of thing. (And yes, supporting The Bulwark is definitely one important step!)
Bill's dream transcription - I'm LOL in the office! Can't wait for the next instalment. Yes, I know the shituation is no joke but the humour (CAD spelling) sure helps.
With the frenetic pace of news nowadays, it’d be nice if you brought back a live stream every once and while to talk through all of the stories that the Bulwark hasn’t directly reported or commented on.
Great choice getting Will Sommer to report on the RW fever swamps.
I emailed the membership email about this, but it has the team considered possibly working with Substack to develop its own app off of the same platform since it has so many separate newsletters rather than having everything under Substack and invested under the same publication? Having a dedicated app Would make it easier to organize newsletters and videos. I absolutely love all the content and try to read every newsletter when I can, and when I’m able to separate them and figure out which post belongs to which newsletter. Thank you for everything you guys do, it is truly keeping me sane during these crazy times just knowing that I’m not the only person thinking these things and going through this crazy time by myself.
I am very satisfied with your product and excited about the Bulwark growth. This is my major source of news now, mixed with old school Drudge report as it links to sound journalistic articles; mostly. The daily short clips are easily digestible and make for an easy forward to interested parties. One recommendation would be to add a public health expert as sadly; there will be much preventable death, harm, and illness in our near future. In my career I currently encounter cancer patients who are treating themselves with unfounded treatments leading to early death or delay of care. I think it will be one of the larger stories of this time, people buying into scam medicine.
Thanks & love what Bulwark is doing. Love the new young people on the pod too. I am missing AB Stoddard & hope she returns soon!!! Thanks Tim, Bill, Sarah, Sam, JVL, Andrew, Michael, etc. I’m sure I left out some. You help keep me sane during these ridiculous times!!!
I have girls' drinking day from time to time with two of my neighbors, and after Trump won in November I started bringing selections of European wines (including Prosecco) saying "I'm only bringing these until the tariffs kick in, so let's drink up now" and they thought I was overreacting, but here we are.........
What I am looking for in the Bulwark essays & podcasts - #4 is a priority that gathers all aspects of our society: (1) high quality reporting of what IS being done, (2) identifying gaps in reporting and follow-up on data to fill those gaps, (3) less "reactivity" - okay in "Bulwark TAKES" on YouTube, keep this out of the major podcasts unless it's directly relevant to the topic & to the interviewee's background - emphasize efficacy, (4) PRIORITY: identify opportunities for collective action - no more than 2-3 priorities that all actions impact. Example: healthcare - including research (esp. NIH & universities), prevention & tracking of infectious diseases (eg. CDC, public health service, local public health), delivery (clinics, hospital, Medicare, Medicaid and of course, Social Security) Veterans Administration (including mental health). Having an educated, healthy population living and working in safe communities is a requirement for all organizations.
Thumbs up from me.
More David French please!

Please develop an app like the ATLANTCI. Substack is good, but limited

Please, please make the nightmares stop — END ELON NOW
Alas, poor Elon. I knew him, JD...
A 200% tariff on champagne? Impeach!
