I listened even though I haven't had an opportunity to see the movie (I live in what movieland apparently regards as an outpost - St. Petersburg FL, and it only recently began showing here). I am a tad disappointed that it didn't meet with unadulterated praise from you, Alyssa, and Peter, but I shall see it anyway.
I had a friend who was born in pre-WWII Silesia, which was then part of Germany, and who immigrated to the US in the early 60s. She needed to have her passport renewed in the late-90s. When the new one was delivered and she saw that the gov't had located her birthplace in Poland, in a forlorn wail, she stated, "But I'm not Polish."
You should take the perspective of a teenager growing up in this new streaming world. As a parent of teenagers, it’s terrible.
