For the foreseeable future, we are frozen in trump time. No moving forward, just stuck. The media will make sure of that. Very depressing when we have so many problems and TFG has taken over our world. He has stolen any semblance of a daily routine of our lives. No matter if you don’t ever listen to another TV or read an article or social media, he hangs over us and we are frozen in time… in his time. God helps us all.

My impression from the hannity interview is trump thinks the presidential records act means the records are his because he was president and he's waiting for his 19 million dollars? 🙄

Who could possibly watch Hannity, Ingraham or Carlson for even 5 minutes and doubt malice?

Tangent: mix some Mencken with biblical references: ask not what lies ahead lest ye be prepared to get it good and hard. From my cynical perspective, good for any occasion these days.

Get out your drinking glasses and down a shot every time you hear the word "unprecedented." We will all be damn toasty tomorrow!

Good ole Mona had it right years ago in NR - just reading this makes one want to fling a hammer at someone - but it makes for a quick return to when Trump actually made the NR shills upset - https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/trump-and-heidi-cruz/

Uh, aren't there also ruminations about Trump, et. al. being investigated by the SEC for alleged fraudulent funding for "Truth Social"? I think Trump owns 99 shares of the "company" and hasn't put up a dime toward his social media venture that was...supposed to...surpass Twitter...in popularity and accounts. Or, did he say it was going to surpass Facebook? Not recalling.... The SEC investigations is a biggy.

I agree the Bible quote is a perfect mirror. As for trump’s motive and goal, he already thinks of himself as the ultimate dictator and will use anything or anyone to put him back in place to carry through All the plans for his retribution and will put in place all his minions for his forever reign the way he envisions his future, that is why he states the classified papers he didn’t return, as described as “his”. His motives are very simple. He admires strong men and how they rule with no one able to usurp their power. He wants total and complete authority and autonomy. He sees nothing out of bounds to set his dynasty up. He will stop at nothing to complete his vision. Now finding the right way to completely bring him and the fever he’s created down.

Hey, remember when David Jolly was on talking up No Labels with Charlie?

Charlie pushed back and the rest of us were saying they were going to be spoilers?

I do too.

I used to respect David Jolly. Not anymore.

Donald Trump: “Some commie, left wing scumbag stole my half pound burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, thousand island dressing, mushrooms, sardines and ketchup. This a crime the likes of which this country has never seen before. So sad.”

We need a No *Lapels* Party in which everyone looks futuristic but depressed. https://images.app.goo.gl/CiHULQsWffXTARDu9

Loved the Bible quote.

If No Labels were truly interested in improving our democracy and giving voters more choices, they'd be advocating for electoral changes (like the Final Five Voting that was described in The Bulwark about a month ago). With the current electoral processes in most states, a third-party candidate is just a spoiler, and the No Labels people know that.

They could start by helping to push one of the options that Danielle Allen and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences commission on the state of our democracy have raised to reform the House of Representatives and, in the process, correct the bulk of the structural bias of the Electoral College. And no constitutional amendments necessary: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/03/28/danielle-allen-democracy-reform-house-representatives-districts/

Increasing the size of the House would be good in several ways. The other House reform I want is genuinely nonpartisan districting, and thus far fewer "safe" seats. This probably means no humans drawing particular district lines, just a committee to write rules to be iterated across the state after each census.

Politicususa has an article, and a video (Fox) showing the "crowd" seeing Trump drive away from Mar-a-Lago. Maybe they're all at the airport?

Thank the Good Lord that the Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign is over tomorrow. The pro-Kelly side has been running ads in the last couple of weeks charging that Protasawiecz's donors are "savages" who are "killing babies" for profit. I'm only surprised that they're

not claiming that it is to harvest adrenochrome for Hillary and Pelosi.

And their "soft on crime" ads have been edging into Willy Horton territory, too.

What is the over/under for the number of times Trump is held in contempt for slandering the court prior to trial?

Related bonus question: how many legal teams will he go through between the start and the finish of each trial?

Trump should be careful with the “witch hunt” comments, in this country we burn convicted witches.

Actually, we don't burn them. Pressing might get rid of his obesity problem that his "doctor" says he doesn't have.
