100%. My daughter has autism, and I've learned a great deal more about the subject since we received her diagnosis. In sum, Autism is now viewed as a "spectrum" (hence the term "Autism Spectrum Disorder") that encompasses various degrees of severity/symptoms previously viewed as discrete conditions., such as Asperger's Syndrome. That's a large factor driving the increase in ASD diagnoses - as well as the reason my blood boils when people still try to create a link to vaccines despite that the lone study prompting this connection has been widely and thoroughly discredited.
