Richard, you may be right, but it will not be the day after Putin enters Kyiv. His army is decimated and has been shown to be long only on ordering men into meat grinders who are dragooned and forced into marching into the hellfire. But he will have a lot of trouble repopulating his military without having to give much more to Kim since a new draft in Russia will be anything but a winning idea. The Baltics and Poland are NATO members and the remaining NATO Members (probably excluding Trumpland as it will soon be known) will not just sit by. True, Vlad the Bad has Nukes, but so do England and France and even tiny Israel which might not be happy about a Russian dominated Europe even if Bibi's bud Don asks him to sit it out.
Good points, David. But why would Bibi NOT be happy about a Russia-dominated Europe? Wouldn't that take away the current European pressure that supports a two-state solution?
Perhaps, but that has not bothered him now. No, I was referring to the Jewish pogroms in Russia that caused many to flee to the Holy Land. Memories are long in Israel. Russia and Iran, Israel's "archest" enemy are part of the growing Band of Evil and somehow I don't see Putin pressuring Iran to lay off Israel just because....what? Bibi understands that, IMHO.
I also fear an expanded ground war in Europe. The first to go after Ukraine will be either the Baltic States or Poland.
Moldova will be before either the Baltics or Poland.
