No, they do not. TV channels are broadcasting literally 24/7. Newspapers have websites with effectively unlimited space. These outlets have all the time and space they could ever want to discuss political events. They simply choose not to, because ratings and clicks rule over every other consideration.

All of that has to be written, and not by a GPT AI. There are only a limited number of journalists, and consequently only a finite amount of quality news reports and analysis.

Having said that, profit motive and the elevation of the banal over the gravity of the issue and journalistic integrity is absolutely an issue also.
