I was bullied as a kid. My father (a teacher!) said to me, 'If you don't fight back it will go on and on. But if you punch the bully in the mouth one time? Maybe you lose that fight, but he'll never go near you again.'
And Dad was right. Let's have the war. Let's piss off MAGA. Let's make anti-anti clutch their pearls. If not now, then when?

As a kid I was bullied in particular by another local kid who apparently viewed me as an easy target ( I was). I let it go on far too long. One day while walking my dog he came up to me and kicked my dog as hard as he could. I proceeded to beat the shit out of him in an empty field with no one around to see it (I was also crying the whole time ) . I never mentioned it to anyoneтАж. He never bothered me again.
Right. I have always been fiscally conservative, becauae its ruled by the brain and socially liberal because it's ruled by the heart. Today's "conservatives" are all about ruling by the whip. They are not financially conservative and care only about destroying people who don't look like them. They never use their brains and they have no heart.
This is the way. Punch them in the mouth and then tell them to cry to the principle about it if they don't like it. That's the only way to deal with bad-faith bullies. Make them look weak publicly.
Their lord and savior Donald Trump has been punched in the mouth by 62 court cases and the voters in 2020, by Judges Kaplan and Erdogan in assault and fraud cases, and the state of Colorado. He is now crying to the principal, in this case eventually the Supreme Court. Is that now recognized as strength?
So far he has never really been punished, though. It's the actual penalty that is required. Not the threat of future penalty, to Trump that will never happen, because it never has.
It's not the same thing. Trump getting put in check by the courts is one thing, his opponents literally calling him a decadent crybaby billionaire is totally different. The justices in those cases weren't--nor should they be--calling Trump names. His political opponents can and should be calling him every name in the book. An ad hominem spree if you will. The easiest way to make a strong dude look weak is to call him out in public and either have him do nothing or come back with weaker name-calling. Dems need to trigger Trump to make him look either a) weak, or b) his worst self. Either way, he'll take the bait every time and look either crazy and thin-skinned or weak and unable to come back with real insults in return. Right now, the dems look weak there because he calls them every name in the book and they barely push back because they consider it "beneath them." That needs to change.
I didnтАЩt mean the judges were bullying him. They werenтАЩt giving him what he wanted, which in his eyes is an injury and a personal affront.
Not crazy about name-calling by anybody. It comes naturally to TFG. The problem with getting in the mud with a pig is you get filthy, and the pig enjoys it.
I think Adam Kinzinger has it right, though. Trump is a whiner and a cry baby who absolutely fears one-on-one confrontation. That's why he no longer does debates. He's scared of them. It's not really name calling to point that out. Well, maybe a little.
If you're not punching back you're looking weak and losing. That's how it goes in the school yard, that's how it goes in politics. American adult voters are more juvenile than you'd think they are at scale.
ive always imagined they really do have glass jaws... well could be wrong there, but the entire gop effort seems to hinge on the "fact" that dems will whine, complain, hold up rule book after rule book, claim to be the "adults in the room" (etc...) but in the end do nothing truly tangible outside of these accepted norms to stop them -- and they can break every rule they can get away with, nibbling away at until they get what they want... and so far they've been right.
Or the bully waits until after school with his gang and curb stomps you. Plus the both of you were suspended due to тАЬzero toleranceтАЭ school policies.
My son was bullied once in school ( it started to get violent). There was a no bullying/fighting policy in place. I told him to hold his ground and fight back ( he did). I also told him I would support his ability to defend himself from bullies and that I would deal with the school if needed ( I did). There comes a point when the guardrails of society donтАЩt fully protect you. Sometimes itтАЩs important .. even for your own well being to stand up for yourself and others an do whatтАЩs right.
Colorado as a state did what they thought was right to defend themselves from a bully .
I grew up in a very redneck small town. Fighting and bullying was almost a way of life there. I was bullied a lot. I got beat up a lot. I would punch back (and still usually lose) and that would get whoever it was off my back for a short period of time but they would always come back.
Because they *liked* punching, particularly punching down. Even if they took the occasional beating (which was probably no worse than what they got from their dads or brothers), that was just part of the game and meant they should come back harder next time.
Many of them never grew out of that mentality and I have no doubt they make up a lot of the MAGA rabble today.
He may be wrong about the first one, but sadly, he's right about the second one. Also from vast experience, including getting suspended for punching the person who was mugging me.

ЁЯТп right Chief Joe. Bullies only understand one thing, and that is force.
Sign me up! Nothing upsets me more than adults who ignore bullies

I commend your defense of your dog! I once punched a boy in the nose for throwing rocks at my dog. It was very satisfying, and he never did it again.
Punch Biff. Right in the face.
Since Biff (Back To The Future) was based on Donald Trump, I applaud your reference.
For real?
ThatтАЩs what the director says, though Snopes disputes it. You can check out the Biff Tannen entry in Wikipedia.
I always imagined TrumpтАЩs тАЬPresidential LibraryтАЭ will be something like the Biff Tannen Museum in Part 2.

This is what the Dems need to do, metaphorically, of course.

Exactly right. The Dems will take all the bullying because they are melting snowflakes. Time to let MAGA know the flakes have stopped melting.

You learn to run fast.
They don't. You don't understand bullies. They are weak. They get punched in the mouth? They don't bother you anymore. I have vast experience.
I donтАЩt think that is always the case.

Hence the saying, "Damn the consequences!"
