"Weird," but "revenge of the nerds" weird, not "I track young women's periods on a spreadsheet" weird a/k/a creepy.

I heard a suggestion on Talking Feds that the term should be "weird and gross" to describe many of the Trump/GOP hoped-for policies. It's weird and gross to track women's periods. It's weird and gross to monitor pregnant women. It's weird and gross to take people's health insurance away.

I want people to start using the word "creepy." More accurate and packs more punch than "weird."

I'm trying to think of and encourage "weird" as a gateway to "creepy." Or that fine old Southernism "not right," because that works on so, so many levels.

Ooh I love "not right." Covers a lot of ground, people can fill in the blanks on their own fears or prejudices.

One of the Bulwark commenters was absolutely hilarious about JD Vance drinking DIET Mountain Dew. Something about "Only ladies drink diet soda, or people with something wrong with them."

It was deliberately/sarcastically/tongue-in-cheek sexist and homophobic, and such a good burn on Vance. "Not right" is even better. "That boy's not right," a la King of the Hill.
