Could it be that the low turnout at Democratic events is the fear of violence from disruptors? That fear has really pushed my own political leanings underground. No bumper stickers. No yard signs. No attending public political events.

I went to a Pa. event this weekend for the Dems, and I admit I went with some fear and trembling. It turned out to be a great day and, believe it or not, all of us had FUN.

I have 2 friends in York County who were dedicated poll workers until PA passed the open carry law. Now they vote early and do not work on election day.

I have been surprised at the empty yards with no signs. I spent a weekend in southeast Ohio recently, and politics was sparse. There were 2 Tim Ryan signs. My drive to Asheville, NC a week later and on to Clayton, GA also was sparse. So both sides are laying low.
