MTG is like the embarrassing, drunk, alcoholic parent incoherently shouting at the ref of her child’s basketball game! Nothing but class with that one!
If there is really a proposal to end social security and Medicare that has been brought forth to the WH, that document should be released for all to see. I was disappointed that he was “polite” and didn’t name any names. But it turned out fine, he walked them right into the trap, closed it and set the room on fire. Silver Fox is right. The old master at work. Keep digging Marjorie… I’m sure what you seek is down there somewhere.
It was stunning watching Joe Biden joyfully take on that pack of howling jackals. Sarah Sanders told the truth for once. It’s no longer left versus right. As the Republicans loudly exemplified, it’s now normal versus crazy. I’m going with normal, that’s why I’m a Democrat.
Dems should run adds showing lowlife MTG yelling “liar” with video clips of Republicans calling for cuts in social security and Medicare. There are many examples.
I think Dark Brandon did well. And I applaud Mitt Romney for being clear, and public about his regard for Santos. I was always mystified that Rs hated Obama and now Biden, but rush to get in line to touch them !!! Even Paul Ryan in that infamous 1 on 46 'talk' Ryan was there with his kid, making sure his kid had a glimpse of the US President.
If it's true that McCarthy warned his caucus to behave at the SOFTU (not do exactly what they did) and repeatedly attempted to shush them (while being ignored), then he is even more pathetically weak than we thought.
Does he really think he can keep trying to play the middle - nodding and clapping while he listened to President Biden and trying to shush the pigs in the crowd. But we know that instead of telling them "Don't ever f'ing do that to me again", his response is to validate their rude, boorish, ignorant behavior and excuse it as their passion at Biden's lies.
I'm sorry, folks, I know there are a lot of former / hopeful future Republicans here, but do you really think that finding a "normal" presidential candidate is the right answer for the country when that person is part of a dangerous and ignorant party that has no interest in actual governance or problem solving? Look, I was a Republican many, many years ago and I have sympathy for the centrist viewpoint, but this party has forfeited the right to power and until I see that change (and not just a stray Republican here and there shouting into the wilderness (Hogan? Sununu? puh-lease)), I'm accepting the reality that this party is a danger and can not take power. Ever.
Charlie, Mirriam-Webster should recognize your contributions to our political lexicon by adding, for example:"assholery" and "jerkitude" to their dictionary. [nouns; see also "Republican"; "Boebert", "Greene", et al].

Biden did well. Still, the standing commitment he craftily obtained to support seniors (medicare, social security) will be forgotten by some in the GOP as early as today. I expect some will have to go on mic to declare it as Biden's "cheap trick" and to double down on their intent to destroy government.
The SOTU address has devolved into nothing more than an open mic night at a third rate comedy club where much of the audience met their two-drink minimum before they entered and were way over their limit about half way through the show. What a disgusting display from a bunch of sociopaths who care not a whit about governing or anyone but themselves.
By the way, we taxpayers foot the bill for this two-bit GOP charade while they refuse to pay the bills they've already rung up.

The current GOP stars remind me of the saying: politics is Hollywood for ugly people
Biden may be old, but he's the epitome of why "old" used to be essential to the clan:
-Wily
-Experienced
-Focused on accomplishment, not grandstanding
-Amused, not angered by clownish behavior
-Obsessed with a future he may not be part of
🤗

The picture of Marge reminds me of Francis the Talking Mule....movies I enjoyed as a child which starred Donald O'Connor.
Please don't insult Francis - he had at least twice the brains/intelligence of Marge, et al. :-)

Ari Melber on MSNBC had James Carville as guest. JC just called MTG, Boebert and their ilk "White Trash."
Biden showed us leadership and republicans showed us their ass as my Mother would have said.
Charlie - I like that you stand corrected :-)
