“ When the eight candidates at the GOP debate were asked whether they would support Trump even if he was a convicted felon, six of the eight raised their hands.

Don’t gloss over this extraordinary moment from the party of law and order.“

It shouldn’t be overlooked that virtually all Republican voters still see themselves as the party of law and order – this is obvious in the fact that crime is an election issue. The only way to engage in this doublethink is by believing (or at least stating) that DJT is not a criminal at all, but is really and truly the target of a weaponized DOJ that has no interest in going after any other GOP candidates. I don’t feel that most Republican voters genuinely believe that in their heart and soul (which means they simply play at it in service to the tribalism that has long been an asset those voters bring to the table), but some of them do. How do you deprogram thousands (millions?) of citizens who believe the government is actively seeking to oppress them before they take some kind of action in defiance of that perceived control?

I listened to the podcast with Tim Miller on Friday when the tee shirts and mug idea came up. There is no way I could ever wear a shirt with that idiots photo on it. Nor do I want a coffee mug sitting in my cabinet with my other fun mugs. Heavy sigh! I hate the orange menace with the heat of a thousand suns. I have lost friends and family to the cult. I hope y'all make some money from it though. It's just not for me.

Trump didn't understand the question: 215 is the weight of his ego.

As for the mugshot, I laughed out loud the first time I saw it and have giggled at it ever since. It is a spoiled two-year-old's attempt at Gravitas! Not scary. Not authorita-tive/rion). Not presidential. Another spectacular Fail! And if he actually practiced in front of a mirror -- with a Hitler photo as model, if Steve Schmidt is right -- that just makes it funnier!

From what I've heard of the GOP debate, it too provided various moments of comic relief.

The UNFUNNY side of all this is that domestic terrorists have, literally, taken over and usurped the Republican Party AND its elected politicians in Congress and statehouses and a few other state offices. And they remain in Congress and other offices after aiding and abetting the J6 coup plotters beforehand (see "tours" given and fists raised) as well as every day since J6. Unfunny. And would not have been allowed in any REAL democratic republic (certainly not a liberal one).

IF CONVICTED: 6 of 8 GOP candidates who are running against him would support him. IF CONVICTED: 53% of GOP voters think he should not be penalized in any way, and only 11% think he should go to jail. The FORMER "party of law & order" has completed its 180 degree turn.

Correction, 43%, not 53%. Still shocking enough.

For the mugshot T-shirt, there is no better quote than Robert Conquest on Stalinist apologists: “We told you so, you fucking fools”

The scowled mugshot is from DJT looking at his own picture, prob the one shown on today's Cheap Shots, where he's bending the golf club he's leaning on from his 251 lbs. (READ: not 215!)

I think Trump letting us see his demon was an accident.

Anti-Christ, anyone? Yikes. Not being a religious anything doesn't save me from seeing a demon in Trump's mug shot. Finally, and OMG, his true self shines through. God (and I believe you exist in some form) help us all.

Aw the angry look, remains me of George Costanza the marine biologist describing the angry sea, "...like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli".

Besides that, a bit of advice to his barber... dude, trim the eyebrows next time.

"...send back soup in a deli," is that a Soup Nazi reference? And, his real name is George Can't Standya
