Hello Everyone,

The main reason why I believe the polls are still so close and the election still so uncertain is because the case is not being properly made to the American people, particularly the African American and Arab American communities, about how serious of a threat Trump poses to all of their basic rights and freedoms and the entire American experiment in democracy at large.

In certain instances, the Harris-Walz campaign has squandered prime opportunities to point out how dangerous, cruel, and deranged Trump truly is. VP Harris chugging a beer on Colbert the other night is a perfect example of this. It might make Americans who are on the fence about whether or not to vote think that Trump is not really a threat to their basic rights and freedoms because why else would she be kicking back with a cold brew on late night TV. Nothing important is really at stake. So, why waste time voting?

The VP debate two weeks ago was another good opportunity to point this out. The consequences of another Trump presidency could potentially be the greatest suffering on American soil since the United States Civil War in the 1860s. Former President Obama and VP Harris know this full well but can’t really express it in the dire terms necessary to effectively communicate it to the American people without coming off as desperate, fear-mongering, and nasty. I think that former President Obama had this front of mind on Thursday when he specifically addressed African American men in his speech in Pittsburg.

But there is far more than enough on Trump due to his bungled handling of COVID in 2020, his attempt to overthrow the United States government after losing the 2020 Presidential Election fair and square, ultimately violently on January 6, 2021, his fascist 2025 Project, and his descent in the past three-and-a-half years into absolute madness and darkness to completely disqualify him from the presidency.

Thus, is not completely necessary to explain to the American people in detail how awful another Trump presidency would surely be and every nightmarish scenario that could possibly play out with him back in the White House. Those effects have already happened and are currently happening, and the uber extreme agenda of a second Trump term is explicitly spelled out in the Project 2025 manifesto.

The closing message of VP Harris’s abbreviated 2020 campaign must be abortion rights, freedom, democracy, and character and fitness for office. It’s okay for her to compare and contrast with Trump on cost of living issues to some extent being that the gap has essentially been eliminated between she and Trump on who Americans trust to handle that issue, but it should not be the primary focus for the final three weeks.

Also, the pushback on Trump’s diabolical lies regarding immigrants and refugees of color must be far stronger than they currently are from the Harris-Walz campaign and Democrats given how dangerous and despicable they are.

And all of the attacks on Trump and Vance emanating from VP Harris, Governor Walz, and their surrogates must be laser focussed and sharp as a knife. There is no time to waste. All of our rights and freedoms as Americans and our nation’s entire 248-year-old experiment in democracy are on the line.

For all of my fellow Landsmen out there, I wish you an easy fast today.
