I don't see the value of federalism which was certainly due to individual colonies creating the nation. States Rights are of course the cause of the Civil War and discrimination and Jim Crow for many years. The Senate seems undemocratic when Wyoming and California both have two Senators . And the argument that largely populated states would be over represented, but that is where most of the people live duh! Besides each state has it's own government for local issues.
