"Moscow can’t even believe its luck."

Except it's not luck. Russia has been nurturing a relationship with Trump since the 80's. Russian intelligence always plays the long game, and with Trump, it cost them very little to cultivate this relationship. And it's worked out for them. The ROI is huge. So Moscow isn't lucky. They did their research into a venal, amoral real estate developer, kept up a relationship with him for 40 years, and now it's paying off.

They also played a long game with the U.S. public relative to faith in institutions and democracy. And they’re winning that one too.

Considering the way this is playing out, with Trump giving Putin everything he could ever gave dreamt of, a cynic would wonder if the election was orchestrated and that Trump is a Putin style Manchurian candidate.

Exactly, how do you think Trump became President in the first place. He was handpicked for the job because has no morals or principles, he can be bought.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity, this is a textbook example. Even they couldn't have really believed we'd be dumb enough to reelect him after the first disaster but yeah we're that dumb.
