I appreciate the Trump campaign background, but I truly believe there will be a special place in hell for Wiles and all the rest of these people who ran the campaign for the most revolting, vile and yes evil person of my lifetime. I am serious, they make me sick. Their dishonor will remain forever. Really.

Agreed, Rick. They know exactly what a POS he is. They're just fine with getting paid and not allowing the damage he'll do if in office bother them. Complicite 😖🤑

These people, along with the GOP politicians who know better, are the absolute worst, much worse than MTG and her ilk. The true believers are just crazy. The normies who do it for the money and influence are reprehensible, they'd gladly sell out our republic for a buck.

I suspect they'd do it for a dime.

Thank you. You nailed it.

I can’t make that point better than you did there. If there is a hell, people like Wiles and LaCivita have solidified their entrance.

Absolutely.

From Trump's early emergence on the political stage to this day, I've always held him as a separate category from his enablers.

Trump is clearly a broken and flawed individual, and left to his own devices he would've never amounted to much of anything. He has no great intellect, no special drive, no organizational or other skill. His sole qualification for anything was being born to wealth, and with that wealth he was raised by a nurturing ecosystem of enablers who permitted him to become the unique, revolting filth he is today.

Trump is what he is because of the people around him who carry out his whims, who coddle his weaknesses and make his blight on our country possible.

Exactly, Josh. I was harsh on Wiles, and the rest, but even worse than the grifters like them, if that is possible, are McConnell, Graham, etc. And do not get me started on our corporate media that has given Trump a full pass on THOUSANDS of things, any ONE of which would have sunk any other politician in history. It is stupefying.

Trump has always gotten away with things that others would have been held accountable for. He should have been tried and even jailed multiple times before he ever rode down that tacky escalator.

They grifted off of him big time. And he's too stupid to realize it.

Worse than that, he does know it. Someone like him grows up seeing everyone around them as parasites because they pretty much all are.

There's a reason he's largely incapable of loyalty and why he's so transactional. It's also why he's so abusive to his leeches like Giuliani.

Jeri - there’s the expression, honor among thieves 🤣

The beauty part is that they each think they’re using each other cuz each one believes they’re smarter. Ship of fools

In for a penny, in for a pound.

Bravo, Rick! you've written what millions of Americans are thinking.

You & me, Rick. And probably millions more.

Well, they were able to extract some serious coin from the campaign, so I am not going to lose sleep of them going to the pits of hell for all time. At least they can afford the ice-water upgrade

Expand full comment

I don't think there is an "ice-water" level in Purgatory, but, not being a bible-guy, I could be wrong, although I don't remember that from Dante.

Expand full comment

Well, there is an ice level, but that’s on the lowest circle with Satan.

Expand full comment

Thank you for the education, absolutely no sarcasm meant. But could Satan really be bribed with filthy lucre?😏

David- I said the other day that Dante needs to come back with revised edition. More circles needed, into double digits for this crowd

Or he could just eliminate all nine and drop them straight down.
