In Tony, we trust[.]" 🙄 Pl-ease. The campaign staff does not for one second believe that Trump's ahead in all of the polls. Who the Hell knows, however, what they're telling Trump.
According to Simon Rosenberg and others who track the status of elections, 30+ questionable Republican polling organizations have dropped at least 130 Trump-positive junk poles in the past 2+ weeks. Republicans did the same thing in 2022 when they were trying to convince everyone that a "red wave" would soon be upon us. You don't suddenly drop 130+ junk polls if you believe you're winning. And you don't make self-serving cya statements to the press either publicly or privately.
Now ... Trump may very well still win. Trump and Harris may, in fact, be tied. But there's no way Trump's campaign staff is convinced he's definitely winning based on "Tony's [internal] numbers." That's just BS. However, as mentioned above, we have no idea what Trump's staff has been telling him. Maybe he truly still believes he's ahead in all of the polls. (Based on his behavior, I doubt it.) Scary either way.
We'll learn what's happening soon enough. I so want my stomach to stop churning.
