I'm only commenting on the cheap shot. Mitch McConnell is, without a doubt, the biggest and most spineless coward of all time. I really hope the history books note his complete lack of morals and how much damage his lust for power caused.

Some historians will surely argue that McConnell was just a normal politician. Of course, there are also historians today who argue that the Confederacy had good points. Those sorts of historians don't get invited to meetings of other historians to discuss their trade, they instead get hired by Prager to write lessons about American Exceptionalism because no other institution wants to step in what they produce.
It makes me sympathize with the people who voted Trump in 2016 because they're tired of people from middle class backgrounds getting to DC, marrying into big money, and spending the rest of their terms sucking up gold bars and Russian oligarch funds.
I remember talking to a friend who had a family member that worked for McConnell for awhile. This person would not say anything more about the experience other than, "He is not a good man." That comment has stuck with me.
McConnell doesn’t care about religion. For him, it is all about $$$$ and corruption. He’s all in on corruption, and so are the rest of the spineless sycophantic suck-ups who have taken over the Republican Party.
Quick story: In my 20s I was living in NYC and joined a road bank. We always introduced ourselves this way: "Hi, we're Clover from New York City." Charlotte, NC was our first job in the South. We were all Northerners. What did we know about the South? After the guitar player introduced us, some guy yelled out in a loud and forceful manner, "We rise again!"
That was 1976. They've been waiting a long time . . .
It’s not religion, it’s minority rule. He’s done the math. White Christian’s will be a minority in the next decade. More and more Americans are becoming secular. He’s preserving the party in his mind, which is beholden to the religious right.

Wow.
He’s spineless because with Trump, he can fulfill his vision of owning the judiciary, and then republicans can rule by judicial fiat.
Spineless perhaps, but he is all about the American Taliban ruling by the bench…:)
Zero integrity. Zero.

A triumphant Confederacy is rising from its grave..

You're exactly right, which makes him even worse honestly.
Totally agree…:)
I agree. He got what he wanted. Too bad, so sad for the rest of us.
Well put.
It looks like he’s doing all he can to keep the torso a safe distance away.
