JVL, I finally get what you're saying. Republicans now view virtuous people as tame conformists who will not have the strength to make the changes that must be made. On the other hand, sinful people are both willing to break the rules of morality and to break with old structures and policies that are deeply entrenched.
There is a partial truth to this that makes it seductive.

Yes that is the best explanation. I remember in 2015 being appalled by Trump saying he could shoot someone and people would still vote for him and my very sane mother telling me but he has to fight like that against the Democrats. I think I have been in shock over MAGA since then. J6 happens and he still is not shunned. Trump voters feed off of his lies (including my mom) and the more fact checking the more they lie. I don't know what it will take to defeat that kind of thinking.
That's why we need fighters on the side of freedom and democracy. America needs courageous politicians who are willing to bend or even break rules and norms.
America didn't win the Civil War by following all the rules and being polite to the Confederates.
I while ago I concluded actual blood will need to be shed to fix our country. ItтАЩs incredibly rare in world history to have peaceful change. Change or the thwarting of change has almost always happened on a battlefield.
There has been tons of change in our country without any blood being shed. There are strong resemblances between our present time and the run-up to the Civil War, but there was also great tension during the time that unions were emerging and there was no general conflagration.
If you have a personal code of ethics, that is something you are LOYAL to, independently and outside of your loyalty to your duty for me, your boss (in this hypothetical).
Those who are sinful/amoral/unscrupulous lack this loyalty to an abstract concept and have only one discernible loyalty other than loyalty to me: their own self-interest.
Now we can see how Trump turns a glaring weakness, namely the INABILITY to understand or anticipate the behavior of someone loyal to a code or concept (e.g. suckers, losers), into a strength by winnowing his field of staff and allies to those driven solely and transparently by self-interest.

Why are Democrats considered an enemy that needs to be fought?

The parallels between now and the run-up to the Civil War are terrifying.
If she is prepared to kill her own dog she will clearly do anything Trump asks of her.

IтАЩm not seeing seduction, maybe more inexperience and foolishness and non-serious attitudes at play. And, itтАЩs growing into a stoooopid movement.
