1. Hey Tim, 61 year old woman here and yes all you guys are cute. And…what’s with making a 62 year old woman someone to laugh at? Society - and this pod - says I’m old and maybe pathetic. That doesn’t make me delusional. (Half joking here. I’m not that fragile. And the crack was unnecessary and insulting.)

2. I cringed at the email announcing this podcast and thought I’d watch for two minutes and skip future episodes. Some rough edges to polish but very interesting. Directionally, I knew much of this but there were important points.

3. Parents and other adults seriously need to grow up, get off of social themselves, and turn this stuff around.

As someone who has to watch her own use of the f-bomb and who has a wide comfort zone around swearing in general, some of this language was so over the top it diminished the message and is itself part of the divide with Millenials, Gen Z and others in the population.

There are a few statements that were so freeze-inducing that it took me a few seconds to catch up with the conversation. The crassness around the way sex is discussed in our culture now is itself a normalized misogyny. Commoditization. It has served to diminish women even to themselves.

Bottom line: This can be a worthwhile - if bracing - watch.
