If I experienced a school shooting I may take anxiety meds. Someone who enlisted and experienced war is worth hearing. Neither is someone I would accuse of having “the luxury of spouting nonsense”. These are young men who have had difficult experiences who do seem to want to help the greater good so I was glad to hear their point of view.

Yikes, I think my comment regarding the “taking anxiety pills” was poorly written on my part, leading to it being misconstrued. My intent wasn’t to minimize him or his experiences. Mental health should be taken seriously, there is no shame, nor should there be any stigma related to seeking treatment. It was more the flippant way he mentioned it as the other guy was speaking that I found off putting.
The whole point of a comments section is to hear perspective and I respect that you thought it was worthwhile.
