There are a bunch of questions that need to be asked. One is what Jr. would consider to be adequate testing of vaccines since he now claims that he isn't actually antivaxx, just that they need to be tested more.
Another is that now he claims that no one will be prevented from getting a vaccination. How does that square with his claims of how dangerous vaccines are? He has said that the COVID vaccine has killed more people than the disease did.
Why does he think that HIV is not the cause of AIDS, especially given the experience in South Africa where the president at the time said the same thing and AIDS Tok off the same way that measles did in Samoa after Jr. did his little trip there saying that measles vaccine was dangerous? And why won't he take personal responsibility for the Samoan outbreak?
In light of how IQ's have been increasing over the decades, how can he claim that fluoride in the water has been causing brain damage?
He claims that he can read and understand scientific articles. How come the people actually in the field say that the articles don't say what he claims?
Reach out to friends in purple or red states and urge them to contact their Senators about Cabinet nominees. Some GOP Senators might be swayed if enough people speak out. There are hints that some are becoming dismayed by our new President’s actions.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) the RFK Jr. hearings happen. If he’s confirmed, we can welcome back polio. (Don’t call him “RFK” – his father must be turning in his grave. He’s “Jr.”)
If your Senators are Democrats – still, let them know your views. They need to hear how much their constituents care: An significant number of elected Democrats are caving already and voting to pass some horrible bills (e.g. Laken Riley). If you don’t have your Congress people on speed dial, just google their names. (Contact their Washington office, not their local office.)
Make a separate phone call (or email) each time you contact your Congresspeople. Each constituent opinion is noted individually and tallied. Our Senators want to be re-elected, so your opinion matters.
Soon we’ll be calling to speak out against Kash Patel.
And if you don’t receive Indivisible’s emails, pls. sign up. They are a real powerhouse - and they suggest bite-size actions we can take each week.
"My perspective on Robert Kennedy Jr. is to approach with caution and careful observation. Take thorough notes and analyze his positions thoughtfully. While I’m not entirely opposed to his nomination at this stage, I believe it’s important to evaluate him critically as the hearings progress. The Democratic Party has a history of occasionally undermining its own potential victories, so it’s worth considering his candidacy with an open yet discerning mind.
It’s possible that Robert Kennedy Jr. could follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Joseph Kennedy I, who played a significant role in shaping financial regulation. Joseph Kennedy famously used the stock market to amass wealth and then, as the first chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), worked to close the very loopholes he had once exploited prior to the 1929 crash.
As I said, take detailed notes and offer critiques with authenticity and fairness."
I work in federal health care policy. I'll be glued to this one. I get why people are the most concerned by Gabbard and Patel, but for me, it's hard to imagine a worse combo than RFK and HHS.
Oh I’ll be tuning in! As a nurse, RFK Jr.’s hearing is especially important. Bring back the iron lung doesn’t seem like a great healthcare worker recruiting tool.
I’m hoping that at least one Senator will ask him about the allegation of sexual assault brought by his former babysitter and his nauseating reaction.
Looks like Blond Boris and Natasha will get a Kennedy scalp added to their sumptuous collection.

Thanks for taking one for the team. I absolutely will not be watching.
I cannot listen to that goddam voice. Plus, he and Dr. Oz will cure all our ills.
