I was really involved in things in the leadup to 2024. It's really hard to not just completely tune out now. I'm a bit of a foaming-at-the-mouth lefty who bought in to the general vibes of the Bulwark (hey, maybe there's a well of centrist republicans who are gettable) but after the results of 2024 it's extremely hard to not go full-on 'eat the rich, property is theft, billionaires shouldn't exist' because it, at least to me, seems that clearly there is no appetite in the center-right for anything less than rabid fascism and hate.
If that's the case, it feels like the only thing a reasonable opposition party can be doing is leaning hard into trying to draw out the disaffected Bernie wing of the party.
I don't know, I probably don't know anything but it's not a good time for many of the people I care about.
