Hi, Susan--I'm retired, too (except for writing my weekly Substack). And I can see if someone is spending an hour or two commuting, listening is productive. But to sit and stare at the ceiling for 45 minutes (or so) for each podcast on one's list--no. I'm sure it's less taxing for Tim, Sarah, et al. to talk than to compose a newsletter, but listening is sequential and creates a time-sink for me. To each their own.
Interesting perspective. I wouldn’t have thought of this but can see it. Then again, I’m retired and my time is 100% my own.
