When Joseph Biden won the 2020 election, he rescued our country from a five-year old narcissistic, sandbox bully. He not just stabilized our economy but we now are the fastest growing economy in the entire world. He created employment and manufacturing jobs, and reduced our unemployment rate to a long-term low - under 4%. Violent crime in the U.S during Trump was at an all-time high rate of 30%. This was due to Trump's violent and hateful speeches. "Specifically, the FBI's report shows remarkable declines in murder down 13.2 percent." (Brennan Center for Justice, 2023). Trump used the USG for his own purposes and wealth. Biden put our tax payers money to work for our country. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that Joe Biden has 50 years of public service - caring and working toward improving the United States. He has used this experience to save our country from a man who was entrapped by beautiful Russian KGB women and a $100 million dollar loan from Russian banks - who are all managed by the KGB/FSB. Trump is loyal to Russia. I am the source for this information - since I lived and worked in Russia and five other dictator-led countries over a period of 20 years. I was in Moscow when Trump was there too.

Biden's age is only going to increase - a fact of life, but he is not over-the-hill at this stage. The debate never should have happened, but since it did - we also need to look at Trump's behavior. It was horrific and disgraceful - and demonstrated without a shadow of doubt - that he is not fit for public office. Biden had no choice but to shut up and not take the bait. He avoided the fist fight or brawl and we must give him credit. Let’s hope everyone learned a lesson and there will not be a second debate. Trump proved to be appallingly stupid, hateful, and tyrannizing - not qualified to be the President of the United States.

Cold medicine. Really? Talk about gaslighting. Biden is a noble warrior who is falling apart. Let's find a new champion. One who can vanquish f'ing monster Trump and lead us to the promised land.

Cold medicine? Really? The guy is barely sentient. It is far past time for the anti-Trump crowd to recognize that. We NEED a new candidate. One who can clearly articulate just how treasonous, seditious, and toxic Trump is.

Here's a kudos to everyone in this conversation who has been able to disagree respectfully and constructively -- and a big "get over yourselves and grow the hell up" to people are not capable of disagreeing without suggesting that the other guy is ignorant, stupid, or a liar.

We are being tested. That xit fails the test.

I know you guys are getting a lot of pushback so I just want to chime in and say that I appreciate that you guys aren't backing down and are continuing to bang the drum about what a crisis this is. I believe that what we saw on Thursday was absolutely disqualifying and I'm so dismayed at how many people are pretending everything is fine. Even moreso how the campaign is blaming everyone except Biden for his failure. I appreciate The Bulwark more than ever right now.

Yeah, Joe Biden is a feeble, senile old man. R-i-i-ght. He knows what's at stake. And gee, I don't see a teleprompter. https://www.politicususa.com/2024/07/01/biden-scotus-immunity.html

Bob Bernstein was just on CNN reporting that people close to Biden have told Bernstein that they've witnessed about 20 such instance over the past year, worsening in the last 6 months, of similar episodes to what we saw at the debate - Biden losing his train of thought and not being able to pick it back up, freezing, etc. They said "he has good days and bad days."

Wow. Not agreeing with that take. Not at all. In 2020, Biden led in the polls. Often by a lot. Currently, he is losing. The debate was not just a misstep, it was a disastrous calamity that was viewed by over 50 million people. Also- JB has shown zero capability of getting lost voters back. Zero. He will lose. And if he does, history will treat him just as poorly as it does Trump.

Biden will win the popular vote but Trump could slither through the Electoral College with a fraction of one percent of the vote just as in 2016. It won't be Biden's fault, but we are sure to see some more emotional overreaction. It is pretty odd that Biden's issue was transitory. It looks like as his cold medicine wore off he got better in the debate, and by the time he got to Waffle House it had worn off completely and he was fine.

I support Biden unequivocally. Period.

I have the creeping sense that this could turn into a repeat of the Sen. Dianne Feinstein situation. An ailing and elderly politician who refuses or is incapable of passing the torch. Whether it is stubbornness, pride or delusion, no one would act and so we had to wait it out and suffer the consequences.

From NBC online story today after the Supreme Court ruled presidents have partial immunity from prosecution:

John Malcolm, vice president of the conservative Heritage Foundation's Institute for Constitutional Government, praised the ruling, saying presidents should not be second-guessed for making snap decisions under pressure. "I don't think that, for the most part, we elect mobsters and gang members as presidents," he added. "Most of them are honorable people."

Hahahaha-aaah-hell.

Sorry this is NOT a Democrat problem this is an unserious, ignorant, decadent American electorate problem... and it's the fault of everyone who fell inline behind the orange one for power and money namely every single republican over the last decade.... we will get what we deserve... Sorry if all that I've said is delegates will choose based on polls alone. If that's what I've said, that is not so. The delegates will reach a decision through deal-making and politicking and what the polling indicates who looks best to beat Trump. This is based on this interview with Elaine Kamarck, author of "Primary Politics: Everything You Need to Know About How America Nominates Its Presidential Candidates” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd-yMMSZDOI&list=PLdMrbgYfVl-szepgVpArP0obwYgbKdfvx&index=30&t=44s). She's been involved in 10 nominating conventions, both for Democrats and Republicans, and shw was a superdelegate to five Democratic conventions. I think she's got the credentials.

In this she describes how

Biden can not defeat Trump. Everyone needs to come to grips with that. Everyone who is not an all in democrat looks at JB as a rapidly declining shell of a man, who has zero chance of being an effective president 3 or 4 years from now. He will lose. By a lot. I am shocked that so many people in this community fail to see that.

If it should happen that Biden cannot complete his term, well that's what VPs are for. Besides, it appears he was taking cold medicine for his cold. As it wore off he got better and better in the debate. By the time he got to Waffle House later that evening, it had completely worn off and Biden was fine.

That's what they said in 2020 as well. The problem isn't Biden, or Harris, or their team. It's a group of timid Democrats that's too easily spooked. This is just "but her emails, 2024 edition."

Then that's what we deserve... the fact the orange one is alive at all politically is the yugist indictment of our unserious and distant electorate... this is NOT a Democrat problem this is all on the "republicans" and all those who go along for money/power and those too ignorant to take a half hour out of their decadent lives to see what's really at stake... everyone bitches about inflation but all too happily took the covid stimulus and freebies... unsetious ignorant people will be our downfall

"bedwetters" and "pearl-clutchers"

It's very depressing to realize how both parties (and almost everybody in them) have adopted Saul Alinsky's Rule 5...

"Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon."

It has gotten so bad that ridicule is used against people in the same party (as with the terms above).
