And now the pope has urged voters to vote for "the lesser evil." Disgusting. Harris is NOT evil. On the other hand, all those priests who molested all those children...

It’s fair to note Harris’s 2 inaccurate statements. That said, Trump has been literally lying and fabricating about opponents’ words and actions for 9-10 years. Most of these lies are egregious, but some are downright dangerous and terrifying for those whom Trump verbally assails like the Haitian community in Springfield(?), Ohio.

Finally, some press is starting to tell the facts rather than trying to whitewash the lies. Trump’s verbiage and actions are not normal, never were! It is now the press that is crucial to “keeping” our democratic republic, but outlets like FOX CABLE will have to stop making excuses for Trump’s barbarian view of his power!

Regrettably naive comments. Biden didn't step down for noble reasons. He hung on till the polls became so adverse that even die-hard Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi refrained from support and the exodus of others from support became overwhelming. Had he been genuinely concerned about the Democratic party and nation, he would have groomed leading talents for the Democratic nomination, Given Trump's obvious negatives, rational choice would have begun the campaign with positives rather than approval ratings in the low 40s.

About those people who want more information from Harris: They know the right thing to do is vote for her, but they are looking for an excuse not to, because, in their hearts, they really want to vote for Trump.

I’m starting to get very frustrated with these “centrists” types. I am independent, but yes more left than right, certainly. I won’t vote for any MAGA candidate though. Anyway, I have watched Biden stand aside , Harris step up, she has chosen a policy agenda risking completely pissing off her entire left flank to be more palatable to the center and maybe even Republican voters. Most on the left recognize that Trump is such a danger that even if they aren’t happy about it, they’ll take the medicine and swallow the pill. While I still see so many in the center that are just …well, I don’t know. She still seems so left. What else can she offer. Well I like trumps conservative policies.

It drives me crazy. I am with JVL on this one. Seriously, WTH else can the Dem party do to save this flippin country 🤬

JVL - Kamala is nothing more than a SF Democrat who is trying to reposition herself as a moderate in exchange for your vote. She will say anything to any audience in order to become POTUS. She and Trump are both economic illiterates. I will concede that she skillfully and deftly exposed Trump's ego and pathetic bombast for all to hear - and she will probably be elected POTUS. As a libertarian, I am unconvinced of any pundit - even you JVL - calling her/presenting her as a bipartisan moderate shows you to be a fool about her record and who she is. She is a coercive utopian with a pretty face -- nothing more. She will govern in accordance with her values shaped over a lifetime, not the ones she professes to in order to get elected. For any politician, I look at their record over time - not their statements over the past 3 months.

The catholic church is a despicable organization. It systematically abuses children. Covers up the abuse. Rewards their employees who cover up the abuse. Hides its assets from victims who sue it. Writes a manual about how to cover up the abuse. And makes the a-hole who wrote the cover-up manual (Benedict) the poopy pope! The world be better off if it disappeared down the sewer.

Except, of course, that none of that is true.

Check your facts. It is ALL true. Every statement. Sorry, but faith doesn't carry the day this time. Start with the movie Spotlight.

Spotlight was a pretty good film, but wrong on many of the facts. Of course, Hollywood followed up that Oscar by giving Oscars to serial pederasts and abusers like Bryan Singer.

I was schooled at St Leo's - a Christian Brothers School in Melbourne, Australia in the 1970s. There were at least two child molesters on staff that I recall, but only one served jail time for his offenses (10 years). The other one shuffled off this mortal coil in 2002 to meet his maker and confess.

Read an article from the BBC today: "Trump's Message of American Decline Resonates with Pivotal Voters" and then a Newsweek article that seemed to be referencing the same ground level reporting by the BBC and Michigan just got scary. Per the Newsweek article: "...some telling the BBC...that Trump's messages of rebuilding America resonate with them more than Harris' promises." Help me out here. What messages of rebuilding America from Trump? Nothing! Nada! They are wishcasting! OK - Maybe VP Harris could explicitly use the phrase "We are going to rebuild America". Maybe "support for small businesses", infrastructure, the CHIPS act, maybe all of that is too complicated and hard to understand? Too many words? Maybe we just shout "Rebuild America" at the top of our lungs and from every billboard? And they are in Saginaw, ex-parts manufacturing, and tariffs sound good to them.

The moderators also fact checked Trump when he said Harris met with Putin when she hadn’t. They posed the question to her. She ignored it (kind of a miss on her part because it was a softball) but skillfully done on the part of Muir.

What more do we want from Kamala Harris? A 60 Minutes interview and Sister Souljah moment would be nice!

Why not just put a sign outside that I saw online (possibly faked): "All you can eat no mean you stay all day. You eat, you go home."

I just want to ask people if they remember the pandemic? The US was closed. Nothing was working. Then when the vaccines came out and we were getting back to life, we discovered that manufactured goods, and food, and other staples were in very short supply. I remember paying $30 for a package of 10 rolls of toilet paper and being happy to get it. This phenomenon is called supply and demand. Supply goes down, demand goes up then so do prices. The US was very lucky because the process was fast. The 3rd world nations were much worse off so many of their folks came to the US where there was food and jobs. Can you blame them? Prices didn't go up because of Biden. Unemployment didn't go down because of Biden. The US had the lowest unployment ever recorded. And still we needed more cheap labor. No one, especially not Biden, let more illegal immigrants come into the country. Farmers, ranchers and factory owners let them in because they had desperate need for cheap labor so they didn't ask questions. Why is that so difficult for the average American to understand?

"Trump said, 'All over the world crime is down. All over the world except here. Crime here is up and through the roof. Despite their fraudulent statements that they made. Crime in this country is through the roof.' The moderators pointed out that according to the FBI, violent crime rates in America are down and falling further."

Ah but here's one case where Trump is right. He just said "crime," not "VIOLENT crime." Where to begin: 34 felony convictions, indictments for stealing classified documents, obstructing their return, election interference. And that's just him. Who knows how many other shameless sycophants have been breaking the law in hopes of a pardon.
