The reason Burgum is on the short list is Trump likes rich people, he looks the part (right out of central casting), and he won't overshadow Trump on the campaign trail.
Not to add to the darkness, but Speaking from Detroit, one thing that's being missed in the coverage of the discrepancy between the announced count of 8,000 and the actual count of how many attendees it actually was, is it's still a fairly large number of white people from the suburbs willing to drive into the city for an event that's not a Lion's game.
If the black members of a large church passed on the glorious opportunity to meet a former president, sounds like the only problem with black voters is to get them to the poles. I hope Biden’s team noticed. They are so busy with Hollywood fund raising they maybe didn’t notice.

Agree with Will - show the insanity of Trump. I think this is a huge part of the problem: everyone wants to memory hole how batshit insane Trump is/was. Sure, some portion of people think “crazy energy” is still energy, but if we recall the 2020 debates the unedited crazy cost him the election. Biden just needs to look like a regular grandpa.
As for gender, yes, this is a huge problem in all countries - not just the US. There’s a lot of young men and men in general who are lost. A lot of it is due to how toxic social media influencers are. Hell, this is why WWE works for people. We’re a bunch of dumb lizard brained morons. It’s why the most sociopathic / combative CEOs (even if the results are bad) get praise, it’s why famous explorers that got their teams killed are more famous than ones who lost no one, and it’s why horrible generals with “tough guy” attitudes are praised over the quiet/humble ones who won more battles with fewer casualties.
That said, if we miraculously retain our democracy with a Trump win - once Trump is gone it’s over. The MAGA crowd HATES the GOP and even the ones they like are nothing like Trump.
