On January 6, 2021 I went down to the National Mall to talk with the people who came to Donald Trump's Stop the Steal rally. I wanted to hear from them, in their own voices, explaining why they were there, who was to blame, and what they thought was going to happen next. I didn't expect that I would witness an attack on the U.S. Capitol.
