Polis is one of the deep bench of future Democrats along with Shapiro, Whitmer, Wes Moore, Buttigeig, Pritzger. To which I'll also add Colin Aldred and John Avlon .

Let’s get him out for Biden asap… so moderate, calm and an effective communicator. And also thanks for expanding my life Tim with gay anthems.

JVL, I don’t get why you keep drowning us in your fait accomplit pessimism. What does that solve? You all criticize Democrats for hand-wringing, or low energy, or insufficient intensity, but then tell us twice a week it’s hopeless. You ignore any signal feed that cuts against that narrative. Why subscribe/listen if the fight is already over and the bad guys have already won? I’ll just pack my bags and head to Europe.

Also, you lament the double standard that allows Trump to escape accountability and scrutiny and then say he did “great” on a podcast in which he didn’t cannibalize the hosts. You are perpetuating the very double standard you complain about. I don’t get it. It feels even more disappointing hearing this level of nihilism and hopelessness from someone I respect and trust. What exactly is the point of this? I don’t get it.

And what will airports look like when he guts the federal government of competent government professionals?

I really enjoyed this interview and find this Governor refreshing. Of course his song is one of my favorites❤️

This was fantastic. I’m just picturing Gov Polis dancing in his office to “it’s raining men” a la Hugh Grant in Love Actually

What a great discussion between Bulwark Podcast host Tim Miller and Colorado Governor Jared Polis. Fast-moving, witty, substantive and sometimes very funny, too. Thank you both.

For a third person to smoke weed with, I'd go with Donald Sutherland's (rest in peace) character in Animal House.

Who is MAGA comparing the US to? We're failing? Compared to who? Europe is struggling. China's economy is either struggling or on the verge of collapsing, depending on who you ask. Russia? Forget about it! Japan isn't too healthy, getting better but still not doing great. Canada? Mexico? Brazil? Can someone tell me what country or region's economy is doing better than the US?

Thank you, governor. We're all allowed to call Taiwan a country. It is the Republic of China.

I like Pete too. More than like. I think he’s a superstar.

But he struggled to cut through in 2020, and, traditionally, aren’t governorships a more reliable path to POTUS than mayoralties and cabinet posts?

I wish Pete were on track to become president, but he's not. I can see him working his way up the cabinet ladder like George Shultz, eventually becoming Secretary of Defense.

Absolutely concur.

Can see Pete being an increasingly important cabinet member in every D presidency for most of the rest of his life.

But not POTUS.
